All legal under Bush, Jr.'s faiths-based initiatives to make America a theocracy?

Why can't i go to the sun?

why can't i visit the moon?

Is it really free will? Or is it just a finite number of choices?

Like a white rat in a maze, you can go left or right, but you don't have "free will" to go wherever you want...

If you were in an experiment where everone would get paid a lot of money to participate in and you would be stranded in boat out at sea for a week with just the three of you? Do you think you would take anything away from the experience besides money?

Some of those are family heirlooms handed down from mother to daughter for generations--I'm Certainly not going to part with them in exchange for an IOU for a trip to happy happy land that I can't even collect on until after I'm dead--They say that salvation is a free gift anyway, so if he wants my sins, he's going to have to meet my asking price...........

yet, it seems to play this mind game with people telling them, "no one is good" to convince them they are unworthy of anything. wouldn't you say this is somewhat messed up? i think what's even worse is not only the defense of this verse, but the frequent usage of it to justify so much that is bad about religion. i've heard it at least 10 times in the past week on here. people really believe, that not only are other people evil, but they are evil as well. i believe i'm a good person, and thus i don't do things i consider to be evil. if i considered myself to be an evil person, i think it'd be a lot easier for me to justify doing something i felt was evil. i killed somebody, but hey, no biggie i'm evil.

there is a question in there... answer it.

When we're on the train and see people we mentally judge them by their clothes, posture, enunciation of words if we hear them speak, and even the words we type here...... we might judge the type of education they have etc ......
Haven't we all judged others, maybe not harshly or outloud but inside our minds.

Was Jesus referring to not judge others publicly only or to try to fight the stereotypes in our mind and see others as equal human beings regardless of status, appearance or education.

What are your thoughts on whether or not you find yourself quietly judging others as you go about your day at work, school etc....without realizing it, do you catch yourself in mid pre-judging reflection and stop or let it play without a second thought?

The Catholic Church is riddled with hypocrisy.. Anyone see only good in it? The Bible says to give to the poor and your neighbour, yet the Pope has a palace and throne while how many homeless sleep on the streets of Rome? The celibacy rule was only brought in in around 1,000AD (date?) so as to prevent power and land being passed onto wives and children of deceased priests.
