All I keep hearing is about how:
"The Jews call Jesus a bastard"
"The Torah promotes nuclear war"
"Jews think Christians and non-Jews are subhuman"

What is the deal with all of the misconstruing? People claim that they've read the Torah or the Talmud and say that it promotes nothing but bigotry and hatred. This is surely not the religion I've grown up with. I am so sick of people assuming things about our religion based on their own skewed views! What do you all think?

We have schools teaching a religion and the biggest religion that ever has existed on earth! When one claims something to be true and gathers followers through teaching, yet is is a lie, it is a religion! Why are we still lying to our children? Debate on PBS years ago with a Dow Chemist and TWO evolution supporting teachers showed the lies! He had them crying! Another point: The evolution believing Professor called by the ACLU and others to support the teaching in the courts ran into an intelligent student. She went through all the science with him. This included extensive math and all that was claimed by evolutionists. He realized that it is a lie! It is denial of real science! Unfortionately he died soon after, but she lead him to a belief in Christ before his death! We want evolution to be true so we can do as we want! That is why we support the lie and the Bible even speaks of this in Romans! Why do we teach that lie to our Children?

i'm not asking whether it makes you 'unsaved' if you don't. i don't believe it does.

what i want to know is your opinion on the verse 'don't forsake gathering together' (paraphrased). does this really mean we need to go to church or does hanging out with other christians qualify as 'gathering together'?
does the bible really teach we have to go to church? i was under the impression that we ARE the body of Christ regardless of whether we go to church or not.

(I'm asking this question in response to an answer i recieved in a previously asked question.)

Satan obviously knows and knew that God can destroy him whenever He wants. Knowing this, how does it make sense for Satan to rebel against someone he stands absolutely no chance? Its like using tissue paper trying to break a diamond. Satan gains absolutely nothing for going against God. Since God created Satan Himself (already knowing that Satan would rebel against Him....hmm....not to get off topic), one would assume that Satan would at least have the intelligence to figure that God is more powerful than Himself. Or did God create angels as total dumb-heads?

My lack of faith in a God is not a positive denial of a God. I believe in a power greater than myself yet I do not know what that is. It may be a tree it may be Jesus it may just be the universe itself. All I know is that I am not the most powerful being in existence. I get angry when people say I have to choose a side. Why am I not allowed to say I believe it's unknown? I know I have no clue what's going on and I think that qualifies me as an agnostic. What are your thoughts on this?

Is it possibe for theists here to conceive of the possiblity that observable and testable science is the way God created the world to operate?

Ist it possible for atheists here to conceive of the possiblity that the universe had to come from somewhere and that somewhere might possibly be God?

If we can't acknowledge the possiblities we can accept in each other's positions, the fighting will continue forever.

Especially if they are unsolicited? I would be interested in hearing your answers and reasoning behind this.
And if you are the "victim" of this attempted conversion, how do you handle the situation?

For example, when i am approached by someone with conversion in mind, i try to listen quietly until they are done with their "talk" and then i express my own beliefs. And if they try to interrupt, i calmly say,...I heard you out, please give me the same consideration.

As usual, no bashing, and please list your faith or religious affiliation with your answer. That is if i dont know already!:)

Blessings to all and Thanks for Answering!

When out in public and making small talk with others, do you automatically assume they are of the same faith as yourself?

Or is this even in your thoughts?

Please remember, no bashing....only respectful answers only.
And if you dont mind, please state your spiritual or religious affiliation.

Blessings To All and Thanks for Answering!

Since you need to accept Jesus as your holy savior in order to be saved, those people's future looks dim. They have never heard about Jesus yet they are condemed for not believing in Jesus? Oo?? And don't tell me that they don't need to believe in Jesus in order to be saved. Keep this in mind first, "What is the very reason why you need to accept Jesus to be saved?", and try to tell me that they don't need to accept Jesus in order to be saved. The Bible does say that "everyone" has been given enough information about Jesus so they don't have any excuse. But that statement is obviously "false", as there are many that have never heard of Jesus.

Now back to my question, will they be saved? How? (No self-made explanation allowed, give a Bible quote to prove your point)

Have you ever prayed for satan? That God might forgive him? Why would you or why wouldn't you? (I'm a Christian, by the way) Scripture is welcome!

I am very strong-willed and I am a planner. I am goal oriented and very ambitious. In a worldly way, those are great things but since I have been a Christian for the past several years, I have realized maybe it's not such a good thing. I have been like this since I was a child and it always worked for me but not anymore. Now, I am just confused and frustrated =) I can't begin to think of not planning every move in my life and having my own goals. It is frustrating for me not to know how things will turn out. Help!

Everyone is born an Atheist (Have you ever heard a baby that believes in Jesus? XD) But then a some people somehow become deluded (Christians), yet some are able to see past those delusions and stay real(Atheists). There must be something different in their mind-sets. If we divide human beings into two major groups:

Group 1: People who are logical and are able to separate truth from delution. (Atheists)
Group 2: People who are not necessarily illogical but lack the ability to separate truth from delution. (Christians)

How else would you explain it?

In the bible 1John.4:1-2
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.[2] Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God.
In th Quran chapter 3: 45-48 it says:
Behold! the angels said "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary held in honor in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah. (45) "He shall speak to the people in childhood And in maturity and he shall be (of the company) of the righteous." (46) She said: "O my Lord! how shall I have a son when no man hath touched me?" He said: "Even so: Allah createth what He willeth; when He hath decreed a plan, He but saith to it `Be', and it is! (47) "And Allah will teach him the Book and Wisdom, the Torah and the Gospel. (48)

May God guide us all to the right path
