Everyone is born an Atheist (Have you ever heard a baby that believes in Jesus? XD) But then a some people somehow become deluded (Christians), yet some are able to see past those delusions and stay real(Atheists). There must be something different in their mind-sets. If we divide human beings into two major groups:

Group 1: People who are logical and are able to separate truth from delution. (Atheists)
Group 2: People who are not necessarily illogical but lack the ability to separate truth from delution. (Christians)

How else would you explain it?

I am wondering when rude and obnoxious questioners such as yourself will stop using the overly used Richard Dawkin's keyword deluded and come up with your own material if you are so enlightened. I mean, seriously.

We all see the world differently, and gravitate towards whatever set of beliefs best helps us make sense of the universe. I think we all have delusions of some sort, and that none of us can be completely sure of the nature of reality. I know clear-headed Christians who understand that their faith is irrational but feel that acting as though it were true will bring them to a better understanding of life. And I know some deluded atheists who think that everyone should bow down before their "rational" explanation of Exactly How It Is.

Hint: if you think you have it all figured out, you're probably delusional, whether the answer is religion or atheism.

Hallo!
Well, there can be several explanations!
I will stop on the following details:
In the last 16 centuries, in the name of Christ much more than 100 millions have been slaughtered for not being Christians! (~ 100 million in Americas, 15th and 16th centuries. ~ 20 million Greeks, 4th and 5th centuries. Countless in Arfica, 4 -5th and 16th - 17th. Some dozens in Europe (even Jews were killed for being such! Asia! Who knows how many? Australia - no left overs to claim the crimes, ....)
And all that from a religion claiming that preaches LOVE!

I have known some Christians who were absolutely able to distinguish truth from delusion. They simply just chose to believe anyway. Call it Pascal Wager. Call it what you will. They will justify their belief in the face of overwhelming fact no matter what. It is unfair to group all Christians into one mindset. Just as saying that everyone who professes to be an atheist is intelligent and rational is a misnomer. I would have to agree though that on average your assertion is fairly correct.

Correct - we are all born atheist-agnostic. From there we either stay as such or become theist-agnostics or gnostic, or even (though it's rare) atheist-gnostics.

And some people change within those - even theists can become atheists again. Some are too far into their delusion, however, to ever regain the ability to acknowledge (and accept) reality instead of delusion.

Once the child knows that Santa Claus = The Tooth Fairy, it becomes very simple to to connect the dots in terms of the other imaginary thing, Jesus, Some people can't compare similar things and make rational judgements.

Some people search for the truth and everyones soul longs for Him who created us. We are created in such a way that we want to be with our creator. others try to ignore the facts and try to pretend there is nothing and live their lives like an ostrich who thinks if he can bury his head in the sand while being chased no one will see him and so it is with those who do not accept God and want it all to be just that nothing

I find both groups to be very similar. Both claim to know something while forgetting that it may be an unknown. I get annoyed when agnostics are left out of most of the questions on here because it leaves out an entire group of people.

Or are agnostics lumped in with atheists all the time?

The following explains why people are unbelievers: '... and even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God (2 Corinthians 4:3,4)
