Satan obviously knows and knew that God can destroy him whenever He wants. Knowing this, how does it make sense for Satan to rebel against someone he stands absolutely no chance? Its like using tissue paper trying to break a diamond. Satan gains absolutely nothing for going against God. Since God created Satan Himself (already knowing that Satan would rebel against Him....hmm....not to get off topic), one would assume that Satan would at least have the intelligence to figure that God is more powerful than Himself. Or did God create angels as total dumb-heads?

Satan was first actually and angel. But he wanted to be as powerful as God so he rebelled. Rebellion against God is sin. So he was kicked out of heaven. know he tries to trick us by making us sin. Everybody sins but with God's help we can be perfect THROUGH Jesus. So, Stan knows that he is going to die and loose but he just wants the world to worship and doesn't like God.

God created angels with intelects just like he did humans.
Believe it or not, Satan truly believes that someday he is gonna beat God.
Just read his words in Isaiah 14:12-17. (you may already know, but Lucifer is another name for Satan)
He is so full of pride that he reckons he can be just like God.
Do you know anyone - usually little kids but sometimes even "mature" adults - who are so adamant that what they think is right that they wont listen to reason?
This is Satans problem; he's so proud that he cant see his own doom coming. And the angels who fell with him - one third of the entire host, to be exact - are as proud and foolishly blind as their leader.
No, angels were not created stupid. Think about Gabriel and Michael, the only other two angels mentioned by name in the Bible. They dont really sound like they are stupid!

In everything that we do, there are choices... good and bad.
Our universe is based on cause and effect..... good and evil
To keep a balance on earth, we need the balance.
Which is why when God does start over, everything will be destroyed and will start over.
And, 412 is right, both were VERY STRONG RELIGIOUS PEOPLE, maybe not Christian, but both believed in God, and were extremely adiment about it.

God does not give His angels an opportunity to be saved, only His human souls. So satan knows that he has nthing to lose. He will never change even to the bitter end. he truly hates God and God's people.

Well Satan, a created intelligent being, just wants to have followers just like God does. So to do that he wants to lead as many astray from God as possible before he himself is condemned to eternal punishment just like him. you see hell was made only for the devil and his angels as Jesus said in Matthew 25:41 ". "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels."
The devil is not dumb by any means. But he is very intelligent and rebellious.

Many people know God created us and can easily destroy us...they still commit the worst of sins..
ex: Saddam or Hitler (they believed in God)

Satan is the only person in the universe who gets to have fun and do whatever he wants to whomever he wishes and get away with it as well. God lets him hang out and have his own turf and do what he wants and other people take the blame. He is the chosen one of fun. You and I are not though, so don't get any ideas.
