In truth you answered you own question. He would not and does not. Consider the following scripture:
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some regard slowness, but is being patient toward you, because he does not wish for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

Here you see God's wish. What God wanted when we were created was friends to be in a relationship with. Only, however, if they wanted to. What kind of God would force you into something you did not want?

The whole point of our existence is to give all people an opportunity to exist in a true loving relationship forever.

There are many more verses to support this and it is the obvious outcome of reading the entire Bible in context.

PS: You will get answers from Christians who will give scripture which seems to prove that God does what you are asking, but I assure you this does not hold up to careful study of the whole Bible and not a few proof texts.

i disagree with 412envy when she says that life is a test.
God didnt design life to test us. What would be the point?
God created the entire universe including humans to bring glory to Him. And why shouldnt it. God is the most powerful wonderful being ever.
He loves us so much that even though mankind had rejected Him, He came to earth as Jesus Christ - who was completely innocent of any wrongdoing.
He died a horrendous death; look up Roman crucifixion if you dont believe me. It was painful.
Like many others have said, God gave us a choice as to who we would serve and glorify: God or ourselves (trying to praise ourselves doesnt work anyway)

Look if the person who asked this question and any others who think like him dont realize what theyre saying, i pity your miserable state in eternity.
Hell and heaven are both real and people enter them EVERY DAY.
Humans have a) a desire to be in control or to have someone in control of everything; and b)a desire to know our purpose.
im telling you now, our purpose is to glorify God regardless of anything else.
it can be very hard to do whats right even when others mock you, but its worth it.

If youre looking for answers as to why the worlds in a mess today, read the Bible and history. The world is no different to when God destroyed the earth in Noah's Flood, except that technology makes it a whole lot easier to do the things people were doing then.

I've chosen to accept God as my Lord and Redeemer.
I pray that you will use your God-given free will to do the same.

God created man out of his own image, People teach other people to not believe in him and its up to that person to either change his/her mind and believe or don't believe. Remember Free will plays a Big part in this. God gave it to use for a reason. To make your own decision and try to make the right ones to.

God is like our parent. The whole world is his family. As usual there are good men as well as bad man are available in our society. In our family what did we do with the bad boys/ did we wish bad for him? Same thing is with God. He loves with each person. when there is a extreme than he decides to punish them. If something happens suddenly what will you say it? It has done with the willing of God.
If we think heartily and honestly. are we good enough. Why should not we punished also?
so have a believe in God and do your work honestly.

Because if there is a higher being, it wouldn't be good OR bad. How can you hold a human standard to a being higher than a human?

Also, for all you Christians out there, consider the following:

Are children born from parents other than Christians doomed to go to hell because they don't believe in the Christian god? Can you honestly believe this of a loving God, if there is such a thing?

Peace

Go read the Bible. Its all in there. .....................Or keep reading. God gave free will to mankind. Those who believe in God will have the best chance to go to heaven and those who don't goes to hell. God gave us the choice. Don't ask questions if you haven't read the story. You don't have to believe in God to go to Heaven. But there is a clause to that statement. Those who sinned cannot goto heaven. So what do you do to get rid of sin. Believe in God and ask for forgiveness. So a child who never heard of God and is still innocent ends up dead. That kid goes to heaven.

God is so wonderful and merciful. God doesn't want to force us into a relationship with Him. He genuinly loves us and wants us to love Him the same way. He desires a relationship with us. So He gives us free will and the choice of whether or not to follow Him. So in response to your question God doesn't make people who don't believe in Him they choose not to follow HIm and if you aren't following God then you are following satan. The bible says "chose today who you will follow". satan has his place in the lake and if you are serving him and not Jesus don't you think they should be where their master is. My Master is in Heaven and I certainly want to be with HIm.

i tell you the truth, God did not create people who don't believe in him, but he created people he believed in. that's why he said gave us the power of choice to see if we can be kings on earth and stand for his word.

now this people who go to hell it's because when they get here, and they don't fulfill their purpose and they follow satan the one who belongs to this earth.

good people you need to understand that we are not of this word, but if we choose man before god we won't go back to heaven

You have a choice in this world. To live and abide with God.
Or to Live and die without.
Its just that simple. Theres no arguing that. Some as you have seen here have chosen to live without and WILL die. I would urge that you abide and LIVE. Its not Gods fault after all ya know. That's just what some would have you believe. He weeps with us and feels the pain we all have felt.

"So that none might perish"

I have yet to find a religion that I totally agree with. As far as hell goes that is just another scare tactic to keep people in line and control. Heaven and Hell are right here on earth you can make it either way for yourself.
