Again, why say it's every single Muslim and every single Pakistani? I am in Pakistan right now and have been since October (8th?9th? We left the 7th) The Pakistani people around me are angry with the terrorists and are venting their frustration over how Al Qaeda keeps claiming to be Muslims when their actions are completely unislamic. I am an American white woman. The people I've met have wanted to get to know me. Children are coming up to me giving me little trinkets as gifts and I'm trying to convince them it's ok but they won't listen. I'm welcomed here with open arms. It's not all Muslims and it's not all Pakistanis. It happened in Karachi. A woman from this area was injured (we're in Pir Mahel, 2 hours from Faisalabad). The people are all saying that Islam does not forbid a woman to hold political office.

I don't know a single Muslim who backs what those evil extremists are doing. We're people too, and loss of life is always wrong. Do you see the difference?

I just have to tell my Brothers and Sisters in the Truth what my daughter and I saw this morning.

We were on the way to school and went past a church with a markee that says: "Satan's Church Exposed". We laughed so hard. I had to call an Elder and tell him. Then I took the camera and went back to snap some shots. OH, yes I did call and ask what it meant and they said there is a church called Satan's Church.

if we Christians are wrong then we just enjoyed a faith filled life and died but if you are wrong you lived a faithless empty life and went to hell.

if we are wrong like you say we just sleep forever,if we are right we live forever and you will be tormented forever.

my question is do you ever ask yourself this question and if you do what lie do you tell yourself?

Looking for honest answers here.

I'm wondering what Christians these days in school do when they have to take a test/quiz and have a question involving "millions of years" or some other secular belief. Do you take a stand for what you know is correct when it's your grades on the line?

Please post those verses that support this bigotry. I am hoping that maybe out there is one person who is considering Christianity.

Is this a religion that you want to be a part of?

IS THIS THE KIND OF 'GOD" THAT IS WORTH LOVING?

Guidelines:

The first 5 serious atheists who respond to the question "Christianity vs. Atheism," which is more reasonable," will be "qualified" to be the question selected to provide a counter to my claim that I believe Christianity is more evident, therefore reasonable, than a belief in a lack of belief in atheism. The 1 counter response I will respond to will be selected among the first 5 responses, according to who's response entices 5 thumbs up with 0 thumbs down first, or the one with the best thumbs up to thumbs down ratio after 10 minutes. Note: Anyone can vote as to which of the first 5 atheists responses is the best response. The same rules apply for every counter-response during the rest of the debate. This debate can last 20 minutes, or 7 days, I will continue until everyone is done responding.

I'd like to thank everyone in advance for participating, and let's have some fun!

If anyone has any suggestions on how to make this debate more orderly, let me know.

I was forced through catholic school, somehow being something that felt like a divine cult or group, as I grew I began to ask questions, like, why should I feel guilty about being sexually attracted to the opposite sex

so I began to ask questions

sexual thoughts were dirty, and evil, according to the divine teachings of god, himself, or itself?

as I asked more questions I gained more knowledge, through this knowledge I found power

power to live my life free from regime and cult-like order

but one question remains

why did my religion threaten me with hell, if I did not follow it?

SCAPEGOATING = A tactic often employed is to characterize an entire group of individuals according to the unethical or immoral conduct of a small number of individuals belonging to that group, also known as guilt by association.

If you could stand up and correct 2 or 3 misperceptions that people have about your church, what would it be?

I'll start: the Roman Catholic church does NOT pray to statues/worship the Blessed Virgin Mary, and we do NOT rely on "works alone" nor "faith alone" to get us into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Your turn.

I use encyclopedias and wikipedia, is this a bad source?

it says something about the world being 6000 years old,

"the oceans weren't salty 3000 years ago" stated by a christian earlier

is this true and does this disprove all archaeological evidence that we have found in the ground?

"Imagine the people who believe such things and who are not ashamed to ignore, totally, all the patient findings of thinking minds through all the centuries since the Bible was written. And it is these ignorant people, the most uneducated, the most unimaginative, the most unthinking among us, who would make themselves the guides and leaders of us all; who would force their feeble and childish beliefs on us; who would invade our schools and libraries and homes. I personally resent it bitterly."

Do you believe it's possible for someone who has been pronounced dead, maybe dead for 5-15 minutes, to come back and tell about their experience? There are those who have told of having seen Jesus, and others who claim they went to hell. What do you think?

can I just give you guys a (((((((HUG))))))
I sit on here and so often see bad things being said about Christianity ...
however it is usually in defense of something some fundie has said
and there goes a tit for tat all night , back and forth between fundies and " others "
and you guys sit there , probably quite sad that things are being said about you , yet you do not deserve it
we often forget that there is another type of Christian out there , less vocal , more tolerant and respectful
who just follow the teachings of Jesus , the turn the other cheek or love thy neighbour rules

for the " others " .... can we give these guys a hug please ?

Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, 'Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.' Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.' But the wise answered, saying, 'Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.' And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, 'Lord, lord, open to us.' But he answered, 'Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.' Watch therefore, for you know ne
