Please post those verses that support this bigotry. I am hoping that maybe out there is one person who is considering Christianity.

Blatant ignorance and bigotry is what supports this, not biblical teaching. Anyone who knows anything about Aids knows that it is a sexually transmitted disease that can be spread by both homosexuals and heterosexuals.

Those people practicing such things as 1Cor.6:9-11 will not get into God's Kingdom. Fornication is defined in verse 18. It is listed as works of the flesh instead of fruitages of the spirit in Galatians 5:19-24.

Bigotry is wrong but there are plenty of verses that say that homosexuality is wrong.

Mathew 19v4-6
Havent you read the scriptures Jesus relied they record that fromt he beginning God made them male and female and he said this explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife and two are united into one. Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together.

Romans 1v26-27
That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulge in sex with each other. and the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.

I Corinthians 6v9
Dont you realize that those who do wrong will not ingerit the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, who worship idols or commit adultery or are male prostitutes or practice homosexuality.

I Timothy 1v10
The law is for people who are sexually immoral or who pracitce homosexuality, or are slave traders, liars, promise breakers or who do anything else that contradics the wholesome teaching.

I dont agree with bigotry but as shown in these verses Homosexuality is very very wrong.

homosexuality is wrong in God's eyes-- case closed. Why keep trying to find justification for it? God will deal with them come judgment day- are we suppose to hate them? NO! But does this means we should support them? NO! The word of God needs to be heard! Because in the end, it is what is according to HIS standards, not mans. We will be judged by the standards of God- and His ways are RIGHT, and His ways are JUST.

and about aids, ANYONE can get aids sexually or by blood transfusions--- it is popular in the homosexual world, but this does not mean JUST homosexuals get aids.

Well, I can't speak for anybody but myself, but THIS Christian is commanded to LOVE others. I will admit that I don't do a very good job all the time, but that doesn't negate my responsibility towards my fellow man (or woman).

When there was no such thing as welfare or social services or community help projects, the Bible set down the pattern when the Scripture tells us that TRUE religion is to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, house the homeless, visit those in hospitals and prisons, et cetera.

In fact, Jesus said that it is SO important, that when you do it to even the very LEAST person, you've done it to ME (ie Jesus). (That is NOT to say that the very least person IS Jesus, but in spirit, how we treat others is how we treat God / Jesus).

So, before you throw out the baby with the bath water, perhaps you should first investigate exactly what Jesus really taught us.

Jesus was ahead of His time when He told us how to treat others.

Mat 5:43-48 (MKJV) (from Jesus' "Sermon on the Mount": "You have heard that it was said, "You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy." (44) But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who despitefully use you and persecute you, (45) so that you may become sons of your Father in Heaven. For He makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. (46) For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? One additional comment:

God loved us so much that He even loves those who show hate. I personally don't understand it myself, but that's God - He just loves everybody - even when He has to judge them, he doesn't stop loving them.

That is not a god worth loving... that's a lady asking a stupid question... God didn't tell her to ask that...and God doesn't hate gays... He might not like homosexuality but Jesus died for everyone including gays... Christians should insult less and help more... I'm a Christian.... because one claims to be a Christian dosent men he/she is. Ones Charachter speaks louder than words, and while dont agree with Homosexuality, i dont support the vile spewings of this so called "christian". The fact of the matter is that we tend to isolate Homosexuality as this especially heinous sin, when in reality all sin too God is offensvie, God sees the sexual sin of a rapist or adulturer as heinous as a man lyin with a man or woman with a woman. God dosent seperate the sins into categories he hates sin all together. The Commandments say "you Shall not Lie" and it is written int ehhe Bible that lying lips are an abominataion too the Lord and no liar shall enherit the Kingdom of God. it is written that you shall not comitt adultery, but jesus said whoeevr looks upon a woman to lust after her has comitted adultery with her already in his heart. it is written,"you shall not murder" but jesus said whoever hates huis brother is a Murderer. who us here in yahoo answers can claim were not guilty of the above and just as guilty of damnation as anyone esle? the Bible says god hates sin and will have a place of justice for those who have sinned. (hell) the good news is that we all have equall opportunity to revcie the wonderful forgivness of god because when jesus died he took the Punishemnt we all deserve. he took the punishment for the Liar, the homosexual, the theif, the fornicator and everyone. now we can all be saved if we will repent (turn from sin) and trust in jesus. and you know something? i think thats a God wortht loving
