Looking for honest answers here.

I'm wondering what Christians these days in school do when they have to take a test/quiz and have a question involving "millions of years" or some other secular belief. Do you take a stand for what you know is correct when it's your grades on the line?

i believe that the world was created millions of years ago. BY GOD. in the order stated in the Bible. the thing is that it even says it the Bible that God's concept of time differs from ours. So when it says a "day" in genesis, it really could have been a day in Gods timeframe, but thousands of years our time. So I never had a moral issue against the millions of years thing. I also think that people have changed, evolved and so have the animals. though I do not think we started as monkeys. we started as humans. just shorter in stature with a much longer lifespan. it has been proven that we are getting taller. probably due to better food and such.

but anyways, my point is that I believe the 6 days that the world was created in the be figurative, not literal.

Christians should not be penalized for answering correctly to questions that expect false answers. There might be some kind of appeal process that could be used to challenge the education system. Parent's are taxpayers and should have an oppurtunity to authorize their children to abide by sound educational principles.

Well, the thing about the 10 commandments has only to do with injury to a person, so you say what you have to to get a grade.

If it takes LYING to get an A that's what you do

Why people make you LIE to get an A is something I will never understand, considering there are no PHOTOGRAPHS of Dinosaurs.

When I was there, I framed the answer in such a way that I spoke the truth without giving the teacher a way to mark it wrong. trust me, it only requires a little thought and knowledge of the subject.

I do not see a contradiction between my faith and evolutionary science.

However, in the essay portion of the test, I argue persuasivly about the holes in evolutionary theory.

It is good that evolution has holes. Science uses those holes to advance itself and make the solution more sound.

You answer the questions as you were taught in the particular subject.

It doesn't change my faith, and it's not a test on my faith.

It's an exam, a class, pass it, and be done.
