I was born into a religious culture, and developed out of that into atheism. For myself, I have answered the question "Is there a god?" to the best of my ability, using my powers of reasoning. So why, if you tell me a god made the universe in 6 days and is offended if I stay at home and masturbate instead of going to church, shouldn't I have the right to say "What a load of rubbish!" ?

I keep hearing people say that Christians are weak. The only reason we believe in God is because we are too afraid to accept death they say.
Have you ever heard somebody say they quit going to church and believing in God because it was too easy? No. It's because they say it's too hard.
How can someone consider a person weak for having faith in something they cannot see? Sounds hard to me, not weak.
What about somebody who has such control they keep themselves away from sin and do not conform to the wickedness of this world? Sounds hard to me, not weak.
What about going out and trying to save people from Hell knowing they will be mocked and hated? Sounds hard to me, not weak.
And the whole being afraid of death thing? I think it would be easier to believe that there was no Hell and all my friends and family would be 'safe' after they die.
So tell me why do people consider Christians 'weak'?

If the answer isn't Christianity, how are Christians viewed there?

The most common argument I hear for the existence of God is the argument that the universe is so fine tuned that God must have tuned it that way. In reality, we have no clue if the universe really is fined tuned. We do not even know for sure if universe even follows a set of physical laws. Our understanding of physics is so limited that nothing can possibly be concluded about Gods existence. The fact of the matter is that the existence of God cannot be proved or disproved with science. One cannot even reasonably conclude that God does or does not exist based on any evidence what so ever. Arguments for or against the existence of God are pure guess work and any Christian or atheist who argues otherwise is a liar.

We've sent missionaries over there! Yet they still deny the gospel? What is going on here?

I know some of them love trees and regenerating and stuff, but this is going too far!!!!!!!

Maybe a troop influence will "win some hearts and minds"?

If you go to any and I mean anyone with knowledge of genetics, ask them what the viability of any species is when reduced to a gene pool of two (male and female) individuals.
The probability of that species surviving is 0. How do you explain the wide variety of species on the planet today?

I'm thirteen, and I'm going to go to a funeral on Thursday. I would like to know how long it will be. I'm going to the viewing, the actual funeral, the burial, and the luncheon afterwards. How long will this take? I'm really scared to go to the funeral. I hate looking at dead people. Any advice?

Is it to make people stomp the floor as if they are having leg cramps, is it to make them look as if they are having epileptic seizures, or to speak in tongues? Or is it to guide one to the truth?

Seriously. I know there were animals, 2 of each. But there is no mention about fish. Of course they could live in the water, but there are 2 kinds of water, the sea'ocean is salty, the water around icebergs or in rivers is not. And each fish can live in only one type of water, but the water was the same all around (right?) so only some of them could live in it.

So, Noah's ark only had animals, or fish as well?

Were they talking about Kingdom, Phylum, Order, Family, Genus, or Species? I'm pretty sure it wasn't kingdom because then there wouldn't have been the clean vs. unclean thing, but did he bring 2 mammals, 2 reptiles, 2 amphibians?

Or was it 2 carnivorae, 2 microbiothirdiiae, 2 rodentiae, etc?

Or maybe it was family: 2 canidae, 2 felidae, 2 ursidae?

Or genus: 2 lupine, 2 vulpes, 2 lycaons?

Or species: 2 canis lupus (wolf), 2 canis aureus (jackal), 2 canis latrans (coyote)?

What about sub-species? If he just took the species, man's best friend the dog didn't even make it onto the ark! That would be a canis lupus familiaris... but that begs the breed question. Did he bring collies? German sheppherds? Daschunds? Or did he just pick 2 dogs and have done with it? If that's how it worked, where did chihuahuas come from?

This article is about how it wrong for Christian to get acupuncture. I'm going to have to disagree with it.

What are your views on this?

The same with yoga, search that site and you'll also find the anti-yoga article.

Okay kids: Time to clean up another mess you've been making.

The Catholic Church is NOT called the "Roman Catholic Church". The "Roman", or "Latin" (western) rite of the Church is just one of many. The rites that make up the Catholic Church include:
Roman, Armenian, Maronite, Byzantine, Chaldean, and others.
The Catholic Church is a communion of churches, with two common threads: Doctrine (teaching), and being in communion with Peter's succesor, the Bishop of Rome (pope).

Americans have little experience with any other rite other than the Roman rite, so they usually commit the error of calling the Church the "Roman Catholic Church." We simply call it the Catholic Church, or "The Church".
When we recite the creed, we say we believe in "one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church", NOT "one, holy, ROMAN catholic, and apostolic Church."
