I don't believe in Noah and the Ark as a literally true story. But remember there are two different stories about Noah gathering the animals, both included, one after the other (just as there are two different stories about God creating the earth!)
In one account Noah gathers two of every species. In the other, Noah gathers seven of every 'clean' animal and two of every 'unclean' animal.
While you're at it, scientists tell us that over 90% of the species that have ever been alive on earth are now extinct. If this is part of God's plan, you'd think he'd design into the earth a mechanism for new species to form!

Not true. The probability is low, but not 0. Many islands have become overrun by cats that originated from a single introduced female. That fallacy aside, evolution would have to be very fast for all the terrestrial biodiversity of the Earth to derive from a box of the given dimensions.

Molecular geneticists can construct a clock to measure how many generations were required to result in the observed genetic diversity in a population, and so you are correct, the idea that so much diversity within species could be achieved within a few thousands years is a genetic fantasy.

You're absolutely correct, if you refer to the knowledge of Man about stats and probabilites of species survival from Noah's Ark. BUT...if God gave such explicit instructions, His hand must have been involved from construction to land fall. So...in God's plan, there are no flaws, and 100% survival rate, He is good!

Every species that is on Earth now was here when God first created them. They are so many still here because of God and only because of Him.

God made the animals in the first place. So he enabled them to reproduce successfully after the flood.
You can't always apply science & logic to a miracle. Either you believe, or you don't.
