Absolutely! Did you know that the Bible is, and has been for years, the best selling Book in the world? Did you also know that the King James version is the only version that is not and cannot be copyrighted? Did you also know that EVERY OTHER VERSION is copyrighted and the owners of those copyrights make money every time their version is sold or referenced? All new versions are perversions of the closest thing we have to the original manuscripts. They were written to make money and they all change the Word of God when it is said that not one word should ever be changed. There is a really good website that documents many of the changes www.av1611.org. Just an interesting side note, many of the "scholars" that have worked on other versions have lost their ability to speak! Ref Luke 1:20.

When I read questions like this, and especially answers like "behonest", I can understand why some might get discouraged about the common level of religious literacy.
Thought police would have to be united to some common end to rewrite the bible. I do not see any common end, and no group powerful enough to pull it off.
Too many intelligent people know with some accuracy what the Bible says for some organized group to change it and bamboozle enough for general acceptance.
I sincerely doubt that only the KJV is not under copyright. Copyrights do expire, and I am sure some translation copyrights have expired since 1611. Since many, if not most (but far from all), of the translations have been made in the 20th century, Yes. Of course they are under copyright.
KJV's can be published together with special study materials, and these special study materials would be under copyright.
Copyright holders do make money every time a copy is sold. They do not make money every time a copyrighted work is referenced. This is known as the "fair use" doctrine.
"All is vanity and vexation of spirit."
