Thirty years ago, we didn't use doorlocks in my home. The only use for a latch was to keep animals from walking in. Now you just about have too keep an uzi. What caused such a dramatic change? Is it simply that the modern world has wormed its way into even my little redneck region? Or has common sense and respect been lost in this world of instant gratification and entitlement mentality?

Deuteronomy 5:8-9

8 "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 9 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

A few of the symbols of Christianity is the cross, praying hands, and images of Jesus and Mary. God says not to even make idols nor worship them but people do. If faith is the evidence of things not seen then why have those images and idols?

No matter what race and religion (or faith) we are from we all have certain things in common.Have you noticed that we are all human beings who all have so many things in common. All of us want to live a good life with peace and love with our fellow human beings. And yet we hinder eachother by continuously rude arguments.

We are all in our hearts human beings, and its about time we act like civilized beings instead of just making continuous mental struggles against eachother. Before we say anything rude about others let us first take a look at what the person is going through, and then engage in civilized and humane conversation. We can then mutually understand and love eachother.

Lets start with a small peaceful exercise: please star my question and I will give each of your peaceful and loving answers a thumbs-up each.Just tell in your answer one thing that we as human beings have in common with eachother.
As a start: we all hate our voice in the voice-recorder :D

Love to all :)

We are having CHRISTIANS AND PAGANS APPRECIATION DAY and everyone is welcome. All you need to come in to celebrate with us is just this:

1) your favorite food or drink

2) please share with us, at the feast, some kind words to say about a path that is not yours

I'm a pagan and I'll start:

1) I will bring a platter of tempting chocolates that will delight all chocolate lovers

2) Christianity is a right path because it is right for Christians

Who will join the feast? What will you bring? What will you share?

Do you meet his expectations? Are you really sorry for your sins? Yes based on the concept of spending eternity in hell if asked a multiple choice question if you repent or not we should all get that question right, but Heaven is for only his chosen few and are you in the top 50 percent? That means in a room of 10 people or a room with only you and one other person do you think your deeds will result in you eating angel food cake or devils food cake?

Christians say that God want's everyone to go to heaven and has thus given everyone free will! But these verses tell you something completely different!

Proverbs 16:4
The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

John 12:40
He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

Romans 9:18
"Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden."

2 Thessalonians 2:11-12
God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned.

*Notice that only proverbs comes from the OT, so you Christians can't use the classical, "It's in the OT, we don't live by the OT anymore blah, blah, blah"

Nevertheless, it proves my point!

Doesn't this prove predestination to be true? ( Assuming that the bible speaks the truth)

We have all known family and friends who have died. Do you get a photo of them dying and then send 8x10s to the family? Such a guilt trip aint it! Why not put up photos of Jesus smiling instead of hanging on a cross. My grandfather died years ago in a hospital and not being a very good christian i never got his photo while he was in agony... who knew?

If the following bags of seed represent a religious or non-religious belief, what would it be to you and why?

You see one bag of seed is wet and is beginning to mold.

Another bag has a small hole in the bottom of it and there’s only a small amount of seed left in it.

One bag is almost full to the top but the clerk tells you that they are very expensive.

There is one more bag on sale for 20 percent off with about one third left in it. The clerk say’s you will have to become a store member first to get the sale price.

why doesnt christian god doesnt create all people to be born in 1 single religion ?
if one is born in a christian family , high chance he stays that way and thus believe in jesus and stuff.

borned in a hindu family , your family pray to hindu gods and stuff , their prayers appears to be answered by these gods . if you were to preach , low chance they convert . becos while you might claim ' your god is fake ' , to them it grant their prayers , shown miracles on them .

why do i say this way ? i wasnt a christian now , but yet i get my prayer answer when i pray to my version of god.

if conversion is an easy task , missionaries have been send for years , yet not all are christians

if they dun convert , they end up in hell in the eye of christian god .
but if they convert , they enjoy as much as someone born in christian family . its not like they will get more goodie in heaven than someone who is born in a christian family .

so in what way is it fair ?

Humans are naturally born not really knowing anyting and religion ends up being taught to them. So if god created everyone and wants everyone to love him, then why would anyone end up not believing in him? This makes no sense when it comes to the arguement over the belief of god. If he made people who don't believe in him, and also made people who do believe in him, then it would not be fair to the people who he created to be Athiests, because they never would have been given the chance to go to heaven. Therefore, the people who were chosen to be religious automatically have the rights to go to heaven. So does god only want certain people to go to heaven?

2nd vision, I was on a moutian top, with clouds around the peek. I saw my hair turn from blond to white.
