Assalam Alekum!! I recently converted to Islam (El hamdu la lai) and I am looking for websites online to study by, I know alot of them out there are not really reliable, I am aware of Islamway as well as Islamicfinder...anything else would be helpful. Also I am looking for some reliable english translated Hadiths if anyone could help me out.

as-salaam aleikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

Mashallah Mabrook (congratulations) on becoming a Muslim!! I said Shahada almost 5 years ago--wow time flies!! My first advice to you is to take things slow!! Most of us when we first become Muslim are so eager to learn and practice and many times we put too much pressure on ourselves to be the "perfect Muslim". And really, most have a burn-out after a while. Read this very true but great article about this:

http://www.islamfortoday.com/ummzaid02.htm

and my favorite for hadiths:

http://www.searchtruth.com/searchHadith.php?keyword=&search=&book=&translator=&start=0

you can search the Qur'an on that site too!

Another good site:

http://islamtoday.com/

oh, also, if you get people telling you that you HAVE to change your name to an Islamic one, it is ONLY required in certain cases:

Is that right? Well, I was raised a Muslim but then left it. You probably don't know the type of life Muhammad led...I suggest you go to this site (prove it wrong and you get 50,000 dollars):

http://www.faithfreedom.org/

and also:

I suggest you drop organized religion altogether and think for yourself.

Don't worry, none of us are going to hell. Because there is none.
