Why 50%? Where did you pull that number from?
Why not 90%? Or 20%
Or if God really loved us, and heaven and hell really are for eternity, why not 100%?
Why is there no forgiveness after we die? What crime can you concieve of that justifies an eternity of suffering? Could you sentence your children, or someone you truely love, to suffer for all of eternity? What sort of being passes out an infinite punishment?
Seriously. Think about these questions before you next post some trite question.

Is that the best your silly religion can do: temp the children with cookies? Or frighten them by brandishing a birch switch? Shouldn't we as a civilization be mature enough to want to do good for good's sake, rather than for our own eternal well-being? Are the follows of your religions so juvenile and witless that they have to be tempted or frightened into compliance?

My "deeds" don't matter. What matters is where my heart and loyalty lies. I live to make the Lord proud of me and that is it. I don't care what anyone else thinks or feels or says about me. If I am right with the Lord, most everything else will fall into place. [Except all those who will oppose me] Those that do, eventually fall.

My answer to this question is as follows.
Rom 8:29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
Rom 8:30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.
2Co 5:21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
When He looks at me He sees His righteousness.
I've known since I was a child.

Very much so, at the moment. I show tolerance and send you a blessing and a thought of love as I read your question. Any annoyance I feel just slips away....
