I am not flaming or being blasphemous but I want a sincere answer...

If I told you that I can fly..or I can magically lit a bush to fire...
your reaction would be that I am crazy or lying.

If I told you that I can see the future and I remember my forelife..
you would think that I am a bluff..

And if I walked right to you and told you that I am Jesus in human disguise and I have finally come to judge you....you would probably curse away on me ask God to forgive
such an intolerant human being like me.....

You would think I am full of nonsense...

So why would you Christians not take a look at what the Bible is all about....nonsense that you would never beilieve of in this modern era.

You believe in Jesus' second coming...then why would your first reaction of me claiming to be Jesus offend you?
Should you not be happy?

Does this REALLY mean you believe in Jesus and that book?

Think about it and tell me what you feel.

No verse for Christ's sake.

The Sun made life possible, you can actually see it (but shouldn't stare at it), and it's one powerful son of a *****. Why don't most religions fall to their knees to worship the SUN?

What religious/spiritual beliefs do you think Batman follows?

I get the impression that he's non-religious and a bit of a practitioner of Eastern beliefs (e.g.Taoism, Confucianism).

With patience and love we perceive all principles of life unfolding before us, and we cease to resent those who provoke us - seeing the provocation not as a threat, but as a vital source of spiritual life.

Through the conditioned reflex of hate, people become weak, suggestible and easily led against each other, through the lack of the peace they do not possess within - lured by the promise of sustained, protected environment , called security - which they need because of fear. Through increasing suspicion, selfishness and fear, eventually the smallest lie possesses the biggest stampeding effect. (BTW the financial market knows of this herd's mentality very well) . Collectively man is conditioned out of his soul, his morality' educated out of all his common sense. With love, he is de-conditioned from life's power - the smallest truth having the greatest power.
What say you ? Any one would likes to challenge the above conclusion?

Based on what we know today about Darwin's theory would "Evolution of Species" be a more appropriate title for his research?

The term "origin" seems to overly credit his findings.

Just wondering.

What do you think Assyrians (Chaldeans) are?
Their beliefs, and such? Where they come from, the language they speak, religion they follow, etc.

I'm writing a thesis on my nationality (I'm Assyrian) and would love feedback.

I thank God for my life when things are at their worst because I feel humans learn from suffering, it makes us stronger mentally.

And it also teaches us compassion toward others considering we know what it's like to be in their shoes.

Imagination is a wild, yet beautiful instrument. An instrument meant to be united within both the Outside and Inside Orchestrations of Life.

As we live out our lives, moment after moment, we are fine-tuning our instrument; we are practicing. Each moment lived, is a new note learned.

How well do you play your instrument? What kind of music do you play?

Are you a soloist? Or do you prefer playing in a band... or maybe an orchestra?

How often do you play? Do you wish you could play more?

which argument do you wish people would stop making that is often made by people on YOUR side of the religious debates?

Please don't tell me what arguments you don't like the other sides to make anymore. We know that already, or at least that is another question.

Which one or more arguments do people who generally share your opinions about religion make that you don't think are fair or bright or advisable?

modern day people. why should i believe in someone in history as my savior? they could just as easily say that leonardo di vinci or alexander gram bell is a profit to people back then. what reason, other than the fact that jesus is mentioned in the bible and his name is really popular should i believe in him.......just a hypothetical question.

As far as I am concerned, I know it is because having pride in anything other than Islam is a sin. Simple patriotic sentiments, so long as they do not contravene the higher conviction of man is permissible in Islam, like the affection one feels towards one's father, son and family. But These days, with many "Independence days" rolling around I see extreme patriotism from some fellow Brothers and Sister.. including some in my family and it really angers me.

BUT I wanted to know if I am right or wrong, because anytime I tried correcting someone they said I am wrong, and it's ok to celebrate and be patriotic (even though that's pride in something other than Allah and Islam).

So what are your thoughts and opinions. Be advised I have nothing against people and what they do I still love everyone. I just wanted to make sure what I believe about this situation is correct.

Thanks!
~ACU

I am attending 2 churches (both chrisitan churches different denominations)the problem is I'm not judgemental as some are about what the "true"church is. I see individuals at both churches serving GOd biblically & in life. I go to Sunday service at one & wed service at another, my children go to only 1 of the churches with me, the problem is if I give one up I seem like i'm giving up on them. The bible says to not forsake the gathering of fellowship, which i'm not, & both are about 10 min away from me, how do I choose which is better when both are good? Where does it biblically say to stay with one church, when both are christ centered?

is something that can be cured by praying hard enough or having enough faith?

Or by bringing someone into your life that can cheer you up?

My question comes from some of the answers given to the recent 'do suicides go to hell' question. A lot of people seem to have a misunderstanding of depression. That it is just an inability to cope with life and those with it just need someone to come along and cheer them up. Or that they don't have enough faith in G-d to help them cope.

I have suffered from depression before in my life, and my other half suffers from it greatly. I can say it is an insiduous disease that haunts you, and hunts you. It is not about being unable to cope, but to have your whole world disintergrate and you feel completly helpless.

I am curious to hear from those who believe that G-d can cure depression, or if there are those on here that believe depression is an infliction from Satan etc.

Please note that this is in no way an attempt to judge or generalize. I just wanted to get an opinion from all my dear Christian friends, on what they think about this situation.

I was watching a TV show today "The Tyra Banks Show", and the topic was racism and hate crimes. There was a very strict Christian family on the show. A mother and her 2 teenage daughters. The whole family travels the country and spreads the word about the evils of homosexuality. The whole family (along with little children) carry signs which say "All fags deserve death", and they went to the extent of saying that the 9/11 attacks were a wrath from God, and everyone in the buildings deserved to die (thats horrible).

And sins I know homosexuality is a sin in all 3 Abrahamic religions, would you agree with these folks? I certainly would not. I know it's a sin in Islam, and I dont agree with their way of living BUT I would never disrespect them or tell anyone they deserve to die. That's against Islam.
