I want divine parents that don't create evil fire pits to torture their children, and then use free will as an excuse. I never ate any forbidden fruit either.

I am about to start an RCIA course to convert to Catholicism in September. This Friday is a Holy Day of Obligation, so I am going to Mass that morning. However, I do know that there is a Vigil Mass on Thursday - do I need to go to both the Vigil Mass and the Mass on Friday, or just the Mass on Friday?

Sorry if this sounds like a silly question, but I'm still learning!

I've started reading up on religions shared around the world. I was a raised a Christian (but am currently on the fence about the whole existance of God) and was taught that the pentagram was basically a sign of the devil. Now I'm reading that its history is not so shady afterall? Can anyone elaborate please?

What about Happy Solstice?
Personally I'm not. I could care less what you say for the holidays. BUT I'm not offended if you wish me a happy holiday other then what I celebrate. For example if someone says Merry Christmas to me I automatically shoot back Peaceful Yule! It's not to be difficult or rude. I am expressing my warmth of the season just like the person who said Merry Christmas. But I see a lot of people getting upset over changing things to "Happy Holidays". They don't care of they "offend people" by saying Merry Christmas. I'm not offended. But are you offended if I say something different back? In the end, does it really matter? We are all celebrating the same BASIC thing. Birth of the new year, the new sun/son, the coming of the warmth...does the wording really matter?

I harass people and judge their life? I think I am really good and I have really changed because I am born again. I don't understand why people can't accept what I think?

I had a very annoying squirrel who had gotten into my attic somehow... Anyway, I was really worrying about how I was going to get this squirrel out... I just said oh Lord, what am I going to do about this squirrel?... Well to my surprise, God answered me and said 'speak to it and tell it to leave'... I said Squirrel, In the name of Jesus I command you to take your nest and leave and not return... And do you know what? I've never heard that squirrel again since... it's gone!

So, have you ever had a prayer answered? Even a small one?

There is such a cry for a tolerance for all religions, yet there is no tolerance shown toward true-biblical Christianity?

I'm sure I'll hear crap about this one...

Someone asked earlier about what a R&S get together would look like. Now I would like to ask: if there were an R&S seminar, who would you like to see lecture? What classes would the R&S regulars teach? If just one person were to be elected to represent a religion/belief system, who would that be for Christian, Pagan, atheist, etc?

Let me begin by saying that I do not wish to debate the morality of homosexuality because I am quite aware that the Christian religion regards it as a sin. Above is the link to a question regarding the legalization of gay marriage and the adverse effects that Christians believe it would have on their beliefs, marriages, or society.

This question is for those of you who oppose gay marriage because you view marriage as a religious union/institution before the eyes God. You claim (those of you who do) that you oppose gay marriage because marriage is meant to be a religious union of man and wife before the eyes of the Lord. Does this mean that you believe only Christians should be allowed to be married? Should atheists, pagans, buddhists, etc. only be allowed to have 'civil unions' and 'domestic partnerships' as well?

Jack is feeling rather down today, and I'm taking a look at my life and considering ways to improve myself. I know a lot of people try meditation, prayer, etc. I'm an Atheist, but I'm open to any suggestions. I've not been a terribly nice person up to this point, but I'm wondering what some other people have experienced; perhaps some of you can share life-changing experiences you've had.
