There is such a cry for a tolerance for all religions, yet there is no tolerance shown toward true-biblical Christianity?

I'm sure I'll hear crap about this one...

christianity is a majority. no one protects the majority.

like... black people can insult white people and we can't do anything about it, but a white person insults a black person and all of a sudden it's borderline hate-crime.

How ironic, I would question that too. For this reason, I not sure why some people would try to pretend or deceive someone that they actually believe in GOD and the next day go back to being their old self. Possibly, people who know traders can just turn a blind eye because they are not important. Usually, they have a high tendency gossip; therefore, they are nothing but big time losers who have nothing better to do with there time.

Besides the inhumanity, dishonesty and the hypocrisy. The institutionalised scapegoating and the dodging of personal responsibility. This is not only seen when a mistake/mistakes are made, it is also seen when a goal is reached, or a change in oneself is made.

It starts out right at the start with the Christian psychopath blaming others (Adam and Eve) for his foul up and condemning, everyone through out time, to a death sentence. It then continues with the destruction of the individual and then that when they make a mistake they aren't to take responsibility and rectify their mistake but are to 'confess and pray' for 'sin' to be washed away.

When a person has the guts to reach a goal or make a change in themself they see as necessary, they are told to give the credit and 'thank' an imaginary critter that just sat on its **** drinking beer.

Generally it's the true-biblical-Christians we're trying to get to tolerate anybody else.

So, yes, they get the most flak because they try the hardest to insert their ways into everything. So people push back on them. It can be very difficult for a long-privledged child to have to share the cookie jar at long last; of course he sees it as something rightfully his being taken away. But he'll learn, and be a better person for it.

In the past, people understood tolerance as accepting other people for who they are, giving them the same rights we have to hold their own beliefs and live their own lifestyles (although those beliefs are different from ours, and we think they are misguided).

Tolerance was an attitude towards other people and their rights - it had nothing to do with the truth or otherwise of their beliefs. This kind of tolerance means I should welcome my Muslim neighbor, and extend to her the same rights and dignity that I want her - and society - to extend to me. It does not mean that I have to pretend I think Islam is a true description of the way the universe is.

Today, by a strange reversal, tolerance has come to mean not disagreeing with anyone. Blandly pretending that all beliefs and all lifestyles really are equally valid. You have your truth; I have mine.

But this is nonsense.

Christianity does make a sweeping truth claim. It is very important to understand this. We cannot avoid it by saying that choosing to be a follower of Christ is just a lifestyle decision: 'You choose to be a follower of Christ; I choose to be into new age meditation. It's just a lifestyle choice, a matter of treading different spiritual paths. I'm glad you've found something that helps you cope with life, but it isn't for me.'

But we cannot say that. The Good News of Jesus Christ does claim to be objective truth - true for everyone; true whether or not anyone believes it. Either it is universally important, or its complete and utter rubbish. It is not just a lifestyle decision.

Today, followers of Christ are often seen as intolerant and bigoted, simply because they believe something.

For most people today, truth is just a matter of opinion: 'What is true for you need not be true for me too. Your faith is just your private affair. If it works for you that's fine - for you. But don't you dare push it down my throat.'

In the past, people attacked the Good News of Jesus Christ by saying that it was not true. The challenge was: How can you be so stupid? But increasingly today, they see this Good News as outrageous, immoral, and oppressive, precisely because it does claim to be true for everyone. The challenge now is: 'How can you be so arrogant?'

So here are three points, to get our thinking started:

* Tolerance is linked to a cynicism about all truth claims
* The Good News of Jesus Christ does make a sweeping truth claim
* Followers of Christ are seen as intolerant and bigoted: 'What right do you have to shove your beliefs down my throat?'

Perhaps that is your perception.
The only thing i have against true biblical christianity, as you put it, is that christianity as a general rule, says their way is the only way. I do not find that as being tolerant.
As for me, all paths lead to the same destination...and if it works for you and fills you with the spiritual peace, faith and guidance that you require....that is all that really matters now, isn't it?

I hope you find what it is you seek.

Because *extremist* fundamentalist Christianity shows no tolerance for anyone else.

If you believe and openly say that you believe that followers of all other religions are incorrect, evil, and destined for hell, don't expect many people to show you tolerance in return.

But if this is what you really believe, then stick to it. Just don't be surprised if other people aren't pleased by it.

You deserve to hear crap about this one, because it's laughably incorrect.

But can you be more specific as to what "true-biblical Christianity" is? Are you talking about Biblical-literalist Evangelicals?

God sent down different prophets at different times to different people. All religions have the same plot.
