" 1. When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.
* Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
2. Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.
3. Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.
4. But we never can prove the delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.
5. Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey. "
People are generally not willing to pay the price of being happy with Jesus...

Jesus does help you live a life of compassion and love. However, there are other great teachers that promote the same. I read the bible to interpret and use Jesus' teachings in my daily life and things are going well for me.

that's the age old thing. don't u have friends who make bad decisions, date the wrong girls or guys.. always get played...? you keep "telling them" they made mistakes, but they don't listen.
whether or not YOU believe Jesus does make life better (i personally do...*but* because i went thru what i went thru to believe on my own terms), doesn't give u the right to FORCE others to think the same way.
the only thing u can do is to be a great Example to others. show them thru kind words and actions and TOLERANCE why Jesus has made your life better, not push them away by acting cocky or rude or thinking u are better than someone else.
i think working on learning and teaching us humans on earth to love each other first will be an indirect way to get them closer to seeing a possibility in Christ... not TELLING them that Jesus loves them so change. =T
imo anyways...

I haven't troubled Jesus and Jesus hasn't troubled me since I was age 9. I am now 71, and the life I've lived, and still living, is leagues 'better,' or happier, than those of 99.9% of all people in the English-speaking world.

I know my life is much better with Christ. I think what the Bible says most of the time is that the thing that makes the difference is that these people simply love evil ( their sin) more than they love the truth of a loving Savior.God has a perfect plan for everones life but we have to choose it. It's sad to me that people opt for anything less.Satan has them decieved into thinking their sin is a good thing. They want to hang on to it.
John 3:20 "For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God."
Romans 1:21 Because although they knew God they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.22 Professing to be wise they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man- - God bless!!

My eyes were opened when I learned about Jehovah God and his Son Jesus. Life is beautiful now. My wife and I are happily married. We just had our 11 year wedding anniversary on May 1st and our first baby boy on May 2nd.
People just need to humble themselves and be honest and really read the Bible and pray and they will see for themselves that there really is a God who cares about them.

"Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
John 3:18-21
And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
II Corinthians 4:3-4
"Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. 8Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God."
Romans 8:5-8

It most definitely wasn't, I spent my days in a fantasy dream world of prayers, miracles and fears about the afterlife. Now I can actually live and enjoy life without guilt about sin etc.

I was "with Jesus" the first 11 years of my life. I'd say the last five have been much better.
