Fundie Christian Sympathy Card:

Your grandmother was a sweet woman, but she didn't know Jesus so she's in Hell now.

Sorry for your loss.

They have better morals than their own god. Very few Christians would actually want to burn and torture nonbelievers, but they say it's okay for their god to do that. His ways are unknowable because he's cruel and sadistic. My grandfather died as an atheist and we still heard the whole, "He's with the Lord now". It would have been horrible to have people tell us he's in agony now.

(Rom 13:10 KJV) Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

We already know where they are, but if we were to walk around telling those left behind that, then we would not be walking in love.
We tell people that are alive about hell, hoping that they will repent and not end up there.

Because it's not for Christians or anyone else to judge therefore it's not right to say that the person had went to a bad place right now...and it's not about what religion you are (God why does everyone make it such a big deal) it's just the matter of respect that you have for someone

Funny, but strangely enough, I have had Christians tell me that my deceased parents have gone to hell.

Curious_, you're right again.

Christians are not the judge--God is
The Atheist religion does the judging--they do it with evolution--you are familiar with the half truths they teach--right.

My father died and that is exactly what someone said to me. Basically "too bad he didn't turn his life over to Jesus, now he's burning eternally."

Just crazy.

Ummm how would that make them feel?
I'm sure they would be worried about it without me rubbing it in their face.
