Is there One for the Father and One for the Son?
Is the Son sitting at the right hand of the Father on His own throne?
Saw an interesting verse to speak regarding this in Revelation 7-10 "... Salvation to our God Who sits upon the throne and to the Lamb
Rev 22-1"... And he showed me a river of water of life bright as crystal proceeding out of the THRONE of God and of the Lamb
These r just a few verses
also one more in Hebrews
Where the Father speaks to the Son
Heb 1-8 But to the Son.. Your Throne Oh God is forever and ever... a septer of uprighteousness is a speter of Your Kingdom"

Rev 3-21 " and he who overcomes will I give to sit with me on My throne as I also overcame and sat with My Father on His Throne. ( read this verse carefully)

So tell me... How many thrones...since God is triune

I do not want to belong to a church that is intolerant of gays, liberals, pro-choicers, etc. I want to belong to one that loves everyone, and does not interpret Jesus's teachings to reflect an intolerant and hateful political agenda.

I want to be a part of something that is not influenced by politics. Does this church even exist? It doesn't necessarily have to be a Christian church...Just a loving, peaceful, accepting or everyone, anything goes church....

I live in Denmark. Here, only 2% of people go to church on a regular basis. Which means if you take 1000 danes at random, you can expect that the 980 of them never go to church (expect, possibly, at Christmas for traditional reasons). There is absolutely no evolution/creation "controversy" here. All schools, teachers, parents etc. agree that the only way to go is to teach evolution. The few "intelligent design" proponents are regarded as non-scientific and dogmatic by almost everyone, including the press.
There is absolutely no pressure to be religious, and nothing stigmatizing or wrong about publicly being an atheist.

What's your opinion about all this?

Philip Gosse, a geologist in the 1850's proposed that God had created everything with an appearance of great age. The actual age of the earth might be eight or ten thousand years, but the "ideal" age(the age which God simulated at creation) could be millions of years.

Ancient fossils, according to this view, never existed as plants and animals but had been created as fossils.

Creationist believe in an omnipotent God who has the ability to do such a thing. God is all-powerful and there is nothing impossible with God. Absolutely nothing.

The ;Creation-with-apparent age" is strongly upheld by Christian Scientists and creation advocates today.

God also created the starlight in situ.

Both the Bible and geology testify to a progressive creation: With the appearance of age.

Note: Job 26:7, Isaiah 40:22, 42:5,45:12, Jeremiah 12:12, Zechariah 12:1). There is no God like our God.

www.creationwiki.org
This is the lamest bunch of psuedo-science ever asembled. One common tactic is to cut and paste a section of a serious scientific article about a discovery made by a phD. and then the paster writes his own little two cents at the bottom with nothing to distinguish his comment from the article itself.

Like an article about a partially mineralized fossil that was found with a little bit of orginal material left in it. An interesting find but nothing crazy.

The poster then notes at the bottom, "Hard to believe that this unfossilized bones is millions of years old, isn't it?" Like the fact that this fossil didn't completely fossilize somehow challenges the age of dinosuars. They conviently cut out the part of the article that mentions where the PhD had dated the find. And the site had no answer to the fact that thousands and thousands of dino fossils have been uncovered and dated to a time millions of years ago.

If this is the best you've got...

During my life, I have read it three times trying to figure out what it means. There are so many weird things that seem confusing and disturbing. All I got out of it was there will be some monsters holding candlesticks and dragons with swords coming out their mouths.

-How many unwanted children are there in the world?
-How many children are in foster care, just wanting parents to love them?
-In Dallas alone, 50% of the kids do not graduate from high school
-Our prisons are overcrowded with criminals...most from broken homes
-Why don't heterosexuals take more personal responsibility when it comes to procreating...rather than just casually popping out babies like candy?
-Why is it that homosexuals are seen as a threat to our way of life...when it is the breeders that are producing unwanted children which result in the rise in crime and poverty in our nation...not to mention our tax payers dollars supporting these unwanted children.
-I think people need to take a stand and say enough is enough...if you are born that way or whether you choose to be straight.., please take some responsibility for your choices in your life. If you are going to have sex...use protection...if you are going to have a child..be able to properly care and nurture it..

I always told my son, as he was growing up, that his mother and I had been saving for his college fees. Well, his 18th birthday is coming up, and he asked us for his college savings now because he decided to join the Church of Scientology.
The problem is, he doesn't really have any savings at all. I'm the only one who knows this because years ago, on my way to the bank to start up his fund, I spent the money i DID have, to deposit, on a prostitute. And that's where every bit of the money has gone since that day. Once the truth comes out, this will ruin my marriage. My question is, what's that story about a son who asks for money then spends it all and becomes poor and has to come back to his father for mercy? I want to use that on my son to make him change his mind about his fund for a while.

Could it not have been the devil simply acting to deceive you?

I know the answer to this is faith, it's been posted here a thousand times. But so has every other question, so why not ask again?

I'm honestly interested in what you have to say, I'm not mocking you. Please, no copy/paste. I'm looking for sincere answers that come from your heart.

I have ever met. She claims to be all religious and a good woman. But she talks ill about me and tells people she hates me. Last night I repeated a statement she made to me to a friend whichwas a statement that hurt me very much. She ( mother in law to be ) went crazy and started screaming and yelling. SHe made the statement that her family was a better family than mine because my parents are not religious and she is.

What the hell am I going to do?? I love her son, but I do not know if I can take much more of this.

Do you really not see the difference between two consenting adults having the right to marry, and a human marrying an animal...or even worse, an adult marrying a child.

An animal does not consent to such...and a child, is too young to be able to make rational decisions. No...one should not be able to marry an animal or a child...but, yes two consenting adults of the same sex should be able to marry.

Is your heart that twisted and are you that blind? It is like comparing apples and oranges.

As stated yesterday, if I do not have equal rights to marry whom I love...(another consenting adult)...why should I have to pay equal taxes...which considering I do not have children as a tax write-off and do not get to file jointly...I am actually paying more in taxes than our hetero counterparts.

Your thoughts?

All religions come down to a basic building block of faith. There is not one that can claim to have factual evidence as it's basis. It's only possible for one to be right, so the logical argument is that all are most probably wrong.

This being the case, why does it seem that every theist is obsessed with believing they are right because of their faith?
