God states not to contaminte your body, but ins't eating junk foods also contaminating the body.

Then a true christian should not eat at Mc Donalds or any fast food place, you should not eat anything that is fried as that creates cancer over time, should not eat chips becuase they have cancer creating chemicals and should not drink sodas, or coffee as coffee could be addictive and shrinks your veins. In fact cancer usually occurs because of what we stuff our selfs.

A true christian should have a strict diet of natural fruits and vegies and some fish and meat but not to much.

Also a christian should not be overweight. I see a tons of overweight people (you might be one of them) in all church denomanations, including JW's. Isn't that hipocresy?

Did you know been overweight is cause all sort of cancers and deseases???I know that smoking is bad for your health, but why do you judge when you yourself are contaminating your own body?

Example: When I was young, the medical advice was to use a tourniquet anytime you were bleeding. (Now, pressure bandages are used, with few exceptions.)

I am speaking of Jesus. I am trying to have faith and believe that Jesus is the son of God but am having trouble coming to terms with the fact that millions of people are worshiping a man that was believed to be the son of God. Which to me is hard to believe that there is an entity "up above" that has control over every thing that happens in our lives. We must ask for forgiveness for sins that they say he has already forgiven us for so we may go live in heaven for the rest of eternity. I am just having a hard time believing in this and I want to see what you have to say.

Non-"christians" are getting that all the time here in the R&S section.

And of course, the hypocrites keep hearing that they're hypocrites.

Any wonder why we're not getting along here?

One other, minor question: have you noticed that the more thoughtful amongst us non-"christians" make an effort to distinguish between the hypocrites ("christians") and Christians?

I personally have no problem with nor objection to a real Christian. Jesus taught many valuable lessons on Love and the way we connect with one another.

Unfortunately the hypocrites ignore all those parts.

If you genuine Christians drop out of these proceedings, it is going to be increasingly difficult to prove you actually exist.

When will you genuine Christians start testifying to the details of Jesus' teachings on Love and social interaction such that your combined answers drown out the hypocrisy we keep getting from the "christians"?

Trust me, I'd much rather be asking you questions about Love.

Do they believe in the sanctity of the, i suppose, former day saints? Do Mormons believe that the Saints of the old Church are sanctified.

This is an actual question about an actual religion. If you just want to bash the Mormons or call them a cult just hit the key a couple times, get your 2 pts. and leave. I honestly don't care if you don't like the Mormons, go away.

I asked a question a moment ago, about how do non-believers explain the facts that some prophecies in the Bible are taking place. They say that "it is just like psychic, people guess and sometime come true" It is like horoscopes, 60% of the time they become true"

hahaha, that is just incredible. People don't find how to answers a simple question without comparing it to a senseless stuff.

While I whole-heartedly agree with your concern in regards to the general welfare of the world's population I have to say that your extreme disgust in mankind takes away from your ability as a person to better things. I have known many people(including myself) that have been so disillusioned by their own rage that they cripple themselves as servants of the Lord. Now I'm not saying that you are not being a useful tool in the battle of the supernaterual that we are all faced with, but I would love to share some of my thoughts and experiences of how we, as a community, and we, as individuals, can come together in harmonious union to strive for the betterment of mankind as a whole. If you care to discuss some of the topics of which you posted questions about at greater length, feel free to contact me via my e-mail. I think your attempt to give people something to think about is very noble and encouraging.

I see many fundamentalists that claim that morality is constant and is given us by some higher power.

These same people will immediately claim that Jesus "freed" them from the Old Law when it is pointed out the horrible things that God's people did in the Old Testament.

If the latter is true, then morality by definition must change.

We know there are "christians" ("christian in name only") here. We see them everyday. It is becoming increasingly rare to actually find a Christian here.

Have the genuine Christians given up? Are they content to allow hypocrites recruit and train still more hypocrites under the name of "Christianity"?

Most Christians believe in some form of the golden rule.

Several Christians in this very section of Y!A have stated that people who don't believe in their god have not given their god a chance.

(BTW: When I gave their god a chance I got slammed for "testing god"....but I was trying to comply with their demands.)

I would like to ask if any of those Christians who have asked Pagans, atheists and other non-Christians to give "God" a chance have given a chance to any other gods, and if not, why?

(Please keep in mind that every Christian who answers "because other gods don't exist" is granting full permission for Pagans, atheists and others to NOT give their Christian god a chance, because they are saying a god must be proven to exist before it can be believed in.)

Let's see if we can answer this without hatespeech, people.

I've noticed much more hateful rhetoric in the R&S category, than any other on YA. I realize it's a forum for discussion, but can't everyone discuss ideas without insulting the people they disagree with?
