While I whole-heartedly agree with your concern in regards to the general welfare of the world's population I have to say that your extreme disgust in mankind takes away from your ability as a person to better things. I have known many people(including myself) that have been so disillusioned by their own rage that they cripple themselves as servants of the Lord. Now I'm not saying that you are not being a useful tool in the battle of the supernaterual that we are all faced with, but I would love to share some of my thoughts and experiences of how we, as a community, and we, as individuals, can come together in harmonious union to strive for the betterment of mankind as a whole. If you care to discuss some of the topics of which you posted questions about at greater length, feel free to contact me via my e-mail. I think your attempt to give people something to think about is very noble and encouraging.

Obviously you can do quite a bit to work for the betterment of mankind without being servile toward an imaginary comic book superhero like "The Lord". This douchebag clearly just likes to talk like Darth Vader and hear himself say things that sound authoritative and undeniable about Everything. If you analyze what he's really saying, he's basically just bored, angry, arrogant, and full of crap.

I don't think we all need to go into the battle of the supernatural. There should be no battles let people think the way they think we could still get along as long as we share the thought of peace and love that is all we need.

Just another person with WAY too much time on his/her hands and WAY too little education or ability to reason! The sooner we start fixing the world and helping others out of basic human compassion and NOT in the name of "the Lord" or whatever you call this fictitious deity, the sooner we can start enjoying our very short lives and hopefully, help others enjoy theirs. I would have hit "DELETE" on this e-mail, after the first few sentences...or IMMEDIATELY, if it was unsolicited! (ever heard of phishing?)

It's a cruel world we live in that's why I try to be kind and cheerful no matter how I feel. I suffer from chronic pain and some days I have to really reach to God for comfort. It's the only thing that works for me.

It's wordy, but quite profound.

I don't know what to make of it...maybe a paper airplane...?

The part about wanting some kind of one-on-one, you'll have to decide if that's too personal or not.

And...Calmness, you kinda' lost me there. Isn't improving something changing it?

I think this person senses that people and their opinions are wearing you down and is offering to give you a supporting hand to help you back up.
They are trying to be a friend.

Reply back and read what this person has to say. At least do that because it seems you approached them first. Give it a shot and see.

Cool. I would write them back and discuss things with them in order to share your side.

Interesting.

The person sounds concerned.

Concerned about him/herself? or concerned about everyone else?

but doesnt improving yourself improve the world?

so why bother trying to change the world?
