The obvious choice.

There is no one more I want to be like other than Jesus Christ.

Apostles Paul, John & Peter are great men of faith.
I have alway felt like I was most like Peter, but lately I have seen a lot of similaritys with Paul. I would love to have the revelation that John had.

I like Job as well. It was the first book in the Bible I ever fully read because my Grandmother used to say "have to have the Patience of Job" and I wondered what that meant. I wish I had 1/2 the strength he had. He was a rock, a strong silent rock.

Other than Jesus? I'd have to go with Isaiah. He had an obvious passion for God, he was the mouthpiece of the Almighty, and check out Isaiah Chapter 20: He went about naked for three years! The man had no shame.

I think I'll have to go with Ruth. She adopted her husband's people as her own people. She went to work doing anything to support her family and was resourceful enough to know how to approach a kinsman redeemer. While I'm thankful that us women have more rights than in those days, I admire this woman because she did what was necessary and was blessed for her obedience in the end.

Well as you said Christ is the obvious choice but the other good choices are

David
Zachaeus
Paul
John

The list goes on...the reason they are in scripture is that god is using them to teach an example be it how to or how not to behave

Jesus is the obvious answer. I agree with Job though, if I can't pick the obvious.

Right now, some of the strong women, who knew to take everything to God in prayer and that He would help them handle it. That is really my weakness... let me try to fix it, and then go to God for help. Esther is one who really comes to mind, preparing and praying before she approached the King, even knowing what might happen.

Ruth was a fine woman but most of us have to work these days....she worked in the fields...she had such a work ethic and was so full of love!
