At the very least some people who have lived very sheltered lives (for instance, in a community where nearly all have the same p.o.v.) have been exposed to the variety of theistic and non-theistic viewpoints we have. That, in itself, is a good thing.

I would say that I have made personal progress while being on Yahoo. I have changed my views on many issues and have bolstered other views. I doubt that my answers open minds, but they may cause people to think hard about traditional beliefs sometimes.

For me this has been a very beneficial process.

But I am me. I don't believe in story books.

As an atheist I know that I cannot change the hearts of men. The ungod has to work through me to reveal himself to the believers.

One can only hope, my job is not to try to CHANGE someone's mind though, only to speak the TRUTH.
