Satan hates the Word of God.
He will never do anything to make you believe in Jesus Christ.
Anything God will do will always line up with the Bible. When we feel that pull in our heart we know it's God by what we have read. It is faith. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
I am a big outdoors man. I have lived to be in the woods. When the Lord called me that was were I was at, I was deer hunting. When the presence of the Lord surrounded me. I forgot all about why I was out there.
I became terribly afraid because of the presence of God. I could feel such a strong need to call on Jesus, to repent. I was so scared I started running.
I ran nearly 100 yards trying to get away but I couldn't. I knew at that moment that all the prayers of my family who had prayed for me had caught up with me. I could not get away.
So there in the wilderness I gave my life to Jesus. My life has not been the same since. I had been completely changed. I didn't act like I use to. I did not want the things I use to. All my life before I had a terrible temper, the Lord took that from me also. I now have love and compassion for people that is beyond words.
There is no doubt that this was God. The devil would not have done this.
The call of God in my life is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I never had any doubt. Just like what happened to Apostle Paul, I knew who had came to me.

For me it's not faith, I have had faith my entire life, sometimes weak and at other times strong. I can say that God has many ways of revealing himself, that will all depend on the person. while I don't think that he reveals himself physically he can do it through thoughts and emotions. I have felt his presence when I am alone and in prayer when I am helping others or with other christian friends, or as simply as watching a sunset or being outside on a particularly nice day, and at other times I have to searched for him, when my life is in turmoil and I have strayed sometimes it becomes difficult because I think that I can fix what I have broken in my life and it's not until I realize that God will do it that I can again feel his presence.

Besides the obvious fact that God speaks to us through the Holy Bible, which *is* the Word of God, we can receive messages from other believers who are in constant contact with God, through prayer, Bible reading and communing with God through reading books by inspired Christian writers. There are also messages received via tongues and interpretation of tongues. God can also give us strong impressions or through so-called *coincidences*. The cardinal rule is: there will *never* be a revelation from God which will contradict His written word, the Holy Bible!
BTW: I agree 100% with "STONE ROLLED CLEAN AWAY"! Why else would God have given us two ears and only one mouth? It's because we need to listen twice as much as we speak. We cannot get an answer to our prayers if we don't shut up and listen!

I am one of them who say God has revealed Himself to me. He has on several different occasions. Mind you, I am not saying that I am any better then anyone else.
The Bible says that "my people know my voice". Just like when your best friend calls you on the phone he/she does not have to say this is----- you just know by their voice. Others can try to copy them but you can tell the difference. It is the same with God, we are supposed to have such a close relationship with God that we automaticaly know if it is Him or not.
There are miriade of ways God can communicate with us, the Bible, a song, dreams, a thought, a feeling you cannot shake, other people, etc., and yes even an audible voice.
I personally have had God reveal Himself in all those ways, even audibly. At first I thought I was hearing things, I heard my name being called in a familiar voice but not one I could put a face to and I was in a noisy factory. I answered and God gave me something to tell a co worker, I did and it was an answer to a question that they had asked God two days before. Ever since then I am always listening for Gods voice, sometimes it is a very small wisper while other times it is almost as if God is yelling it out. We are to listen for God every time we pray. Most people just give God a laundry list of things they want and then they walk away. I see God at those times almost crying because HE wanted to tell them somethingbut they had no time to listen. We need to listen for God twice as much as we talk to Him, do we think we know more then God or that HE has nothing to teach us???
We must listen if we are to know His voice.

Okay, I'm a Christian, and I'll try my best to answer honestly and properly.^_^
Everything about God is good, and the devil is total opposite, so that's how I know if God has revealed Himself to me.
God would not tempt, nor would He force us into doing something or believing in something. That's why God's presence is always comfortable.
You are right when the answer is faith though,if you have faith in God,you would know it when He reveals Himself.
Hope this helps,good luck!^_^

Do a seek on "Biblical Archeology". You will discover many articles that manage proof that the parties recorded within the Bible are real. There is such a lot that it isn't sensible to check out to record all of it within the area allowed for a Yahoo Answer. There are a number of per month print magazines to be had that convey dozens of scholarly, generally peer reviewed articles at the discipline. Most men and women don't detect that the Bible is liable for the life of the technological know-how of archeology. It's a good question. Scripture actually tells the Christian to "test everything and retain what is good." This includes everything from the books we read to the meanderings of our hearts.
So many people say God "speaks" to them, but few ever test the Spirit, and quite frequently it ends up that God told them what they wanted to hear. How convenient.
But that does not discount the idea that God communicates with us. He communicates with us in a myriad of ways: in quiet ways like through the intricate beauty of a rose....or by a more direct route, like the way He spoke to St. Paul directly from Heaven. (but that's rare)
How do we know when something is from God?
What comes from the Devil could never be good, and so goodness can only be from God.
Scripture also says "every good and perfect gift is from above"

i have to agree with the others, that God reveals Himself to us in very personal ways, and lets us know for sure its Him. The knowing is very powerful, you can't deny it. We get to know more and more about God through our reading the bible, through prayer, ( prayer is communication - both talking and listening ) . Its all about our relationship with Him. The Scriptures show us that none can come to God except they are first drawn by Him. and all must believe that God sent His Son - Jesus Christ. Jesus was always doing the Father's will, and teaching others to do so.
The more we read , pray, listen, the more we will understand.
The Scriptures say if you lack wisdom to pray , ask, seek, and you will find, be given, what we need - to accomplish the Work / Will of God in our lives.
They that love God must worship Him in spirit and truth. not mankinds truth, but God's truth.
Jesus said, knock and the door will be opened, seek and you will find, ask and it will be given. - all to be done in faith , for without faith it is impossible to please God.

I have spent almost half of my life time mixing with that kind of peoples. Initially I am really impress. The way they talk, dress and acts are very convincing. But if you ask for proof, there are none. They will start giving excuses and create stories which is hard to believe. To me they are just imagining things or being deceive by the devil.

I'm not sure how to describe it.
It's like waking up one day and actually understanding what a cosine is. You just KNOW.
Every single born again Christian knows exactly what I'm talking about.
It doesn't matter how smart or dumb you are, or anything else.
You just know.
