Since Religion stirs up a lot of anger and the spirit has no anger.

They are no doubt different but true religion can be a means to spirituality. Organized religion that encourages division between different religions, that promotes intolerance of other religious cultures, that which is based on dogmas and superstitions, can be an impediment to spirituality. A religion that promotes universal consciousness can be a great help to spiritual state of being which is an unconditioned, liberated and blissful state of being. Religion and spirituality are like marriage and love - they can coexist but often seem to flourish separately.

While some people are either "religious" or "spiritual", I believe the two are interconnected, and most people are a combination of the two, not one or the other....

The spirit doesn't exist. Religion is belief in things that don't exist.

If anything, religion and spirituality should be combined with mythology and folklore.
