Were they just not "lucky" enough to be born at the right time and as a result were robbed of the eternal bliss of heaven through no fault of their own? WHAT IS UP THIS THAT? Enquiring minds want to know, so all of you that claim to know the workings of the mind of the Creator, I would really like an answer that makes sense. Thank you.

People believed the earth was flat until the 1600s or so. I think Jesus thought the earth was flat while he was human. Yes, Jesus was perfect - but he was still living in a particular cultural and historical setting (he spoke Aramaic). I don't think, as a human, he had perfect knowledge of everything. Even his father, God, only made things known to Jesus at the right time (eg. when Elijah as sent by God to speak to Jesus). Jesus was both God, and human. In what ways was he God, in what ways was he human??
If Jesus thought the earth was flat, and so did everyone else back then - then the biblical picture of the world was 2D - there was earth, and sky, and they were flat and parallel to each other. There was no 'bigger picture' physically (eg. our galaxy, the universe).
What do you think?

I love the umbrage I got just for asking if there were any books you might *hypothetically* remove from the Bible *if it were up to YOU*. Do you think critically about your beliefs? Have you read and really tried to understand each book of the Bible? Do you not find some books very useful and others *not so much*? Honestly? Isn't there anything in there that you find in the slightest either troubling or irrelevant or just plain inexplicable?

This is more of a continuation from a previous question of mine. I have interests in life but all of them would be deemed wrong or "evil" if you will. So what is the point of my life if all that I enjoy doing brings about terrible harm and devestation to others. I don't want to find God, I know I'm damned and I fully embrace that. I just feel the need to destroy as many lives and corrupt as much as possible while I'm on this earth. I don't know why I am here then since my very existance would be a counter to what the world and most religions says is right. I don't think I could ever be happy helping others.

Do the anti-Christian questions just not get reported? Or is there an anti-Christian bias in the ranks of YA moderators? Bash Christians, and you're a YA hero. Bash any other religion, and your questions/profile are quickly deleted. Anyone else see something wrong with this?

You always hear that " you can't do any amount of good things in your life to "go to heaven"'...it's dependent on Jesus, or belief, etc. But what about John 5 : 29? What does this indicate to you?

5:29 "...and shall go forth; those that have practised good, to resurrection of life, and those that have done evil, to resurrection of judgment. "

We have a set rules of right and wrong laid down by society, and I really can't seem to care about them because I despise society. I have fun doing the bad and nasty things. I look for things to corrupt in my daily life. I can't see the point of going to work and getting a wife and kids and the nsometime when I'm 70 I'll retire and then I'll die. I don't want to live that pathetic life. I see art in destruction and manipulation. I like coming up with scenarios that involve people that I know and pitting them against eachother. I know that most world say I'm evil or amoral or hell, mentally ill, but I can't see this. I simply want a life that is free from any rule and I can go about as i please. Hell, I don't even want to interact with society. Its only that I'm forced to. That is the thing that brings about my darker ambitions. That fact that I am so controlled by a government makes me want to lash out destroy everything that it holds dear. I'm wondering what others have to say on this
