I've gone back to write at the bottom "Hey! What's with the thumbs down!? It's True check out this website" I don't like looking like a victem, it makes me nervious *twitch twitch*
How many people write a spiritually uplifting anwser and change it after getting several thumbs up so the votes on Y!A look like jerks? lol.

I never change the essential meaning of my answer because of negative feedback. Because I'm a perfectionist, I often "repair" a previous response, usually just a single word here or there. If I make a substantial change, I always preface it with the word. "Edit:"
Edit: On occasion, after having second thoughts, I will delete my entire answer, but never in response to too many "thumbs down." Given how polarized R&S has become, if I don't harvest at least a few Christian thumbs, I really haven't made my point.

Why would I do that? If someone does not like my answer, it does not mean that it is a bad answer, When I receive thumbs up that does not mean it is necessary a good answer either. It is just what I believe- when I get a thumbs down, for answering a question why I serve God and love Christ, I will expect thumbs down from some people. That is ok- I do not live for applause from man anyway.

No, if you take a look at my answers you'll see how many thumbs down I get although I always tell the truth. Sometimes I may change a sentence after I'm sure the questionner reads it just for my answer not to get deleted by yahooanswers teams if I got reported.

No, but I have changed an answer after fearing that it would get reported.
I've also amended answers to include a response to the thumbs down, especially when the answer was correct.
And I typically proofread my answers, correcting any grammatical errors and spelling errors in the second pass.

Never. Not once. Nope. Uhuh.
I've added to, but never changed the original.
Update:
(See? Already I'm doing it...)
I have to fudge here. I once (very gratuitously) made an insulting remark to someone who really didn't deserve it.
I erased the remark and replaced it with an apology.
So, okay...yeah...once.
Update2: But I hadn't gotten a thumbs either way on it.
So within the context of changing BECAUSE of a thumbs down, then it's still..."Never. Not once. Nope. Uhuh."
;-)

Never.
I'd much rather look controversial than like a victim.
Besides, the answers I give that get the most thumbs down are when I put in pure facts, rather than my opinion.
Cons hate facts.

No. If I get thumbs down then that means someone disagrees with me or it's just an atheist giving every Christian in the room a thumbs down just for being a Christian. Or vise verse. But, I don't change it.

No. I find that if I answer one way I get thumbs down. If I answer the opposite I get thumbs down. Try that some time and see if it isn't true.
