religion section lately.

It seems as if 75% of the people who ask questions on here don’t get good answers. It turns into religion 1 vs. religion 2 and the facts never come out.

Maybe in ADDITION to a general religion section, they should also have separate sections for Christian, Islam, Muslim, Hindu, Atheist, etc. I guess people will still go over to the other sites just to bash. Any thoughts?

No wrong answers here, just trying to get people thinking. Thanks.

When I look out my window, it's softly raining and it's just so nice outside. Does that sound strange? But we don't get much rain where I live, and growing up we usually got a LOT more rain there, than here. So I always love it when it rains, especially that all day soaking kind of rain.
What's the weather like where you are?

I've been called a troll numerous times today for speaking out in favor of Christianity and those who favor it.

I do apologize for not adoring or approving of
gay marriage, violence against Jews, islam, overwhelming sexual activity among teenagers, women in beekeeper suits, violence in movies and media, women who are pro murder (I'm sorry....pro-choice), guys who can't keep their pants on, etc.

I must be a troll since I'm not 100% in favor of those things, right?

Sorry, but I am proud of Christianity, and if you compare it to islam and atheism it stands proud. Too damn bad if you don't like it.

I struggle everyday it seems. I cannot remember the last time I felt true happiness. I have prayed to God for ten years now for any sort of salvation or mercy. I have surrendered to him with no results and even less happiness. My business is all but finished, I am 34 years old and financially ruined, I have not had a meaningful relationship for 10 years, I am cursed to be alone til death, no woman wants me. Why does God hate some and curse them to live such a pitiful life regardless of how hard they work and try to make good choices, right choices? Why does God bless others and give them so much with so little effort? What kind of God is this? I wish God would have mercy on me and kill me, I am too coward to do it myself. I pray for relief from my depression, can anyone provide answers to why days can be so dark for so many years. How can unhappiness follow over me for so long and with no relief or mercy from God? Is God not merciful and loving, why then does he hate me so?

1) I heard that muslims feel close to Allah when they're devoted, or in prayer. So to go further, do Muslims believe they can MEET Allah before they die? As in see him, talk with him, even touch him directly?

2) I heard Muslims think that the Bible and Torah are corrupted. Is this a written passage in the Quran, or is it from other teachings?

3) What are your view on Christians. Not Christendom, Christians. Christendom is anyone who associates Christ as a holy person, but not God. Christianity believes JesusChrist is God and you must be born again. So barring Christian beliefs and behavior, what do you think of the future of Christianity and do you adhere to any Biblical prophesies? i.e.: the devil shall rule earth for 7 years, then God for 1000, then there'll be a battle, and then the New Earth and New Heaven shall come.

4) Do you believe only Muslims get to Heaven? like, do people who never heard about Allah go to Hell?

One of the biggest arguments I hear for returning prayer to public schools is that there seems to be a correlation between the rise of violence in schools and when prayer and discipline were taken out. When prayers could be said publicly, we did not have some of the conditions that we are concerned with today.

Which is worse, worrying about having to have your kids go thru metal detectors or having them hear a prayer?

If you don't believe there is a correlation, please state your case.

By the way, I am not suggesting we go back to allowing teachers to beat students!!

Thanks!

According to some modern critics, Christianity embraces myths and legends. Many scholars reject as myths the virgin birth of Jesus, his miracles, and his resurrection. Some even say he never existed but that his myth is a carryover from more ancient mythology and sun worship. As mythology expert Joseph Campbell wrote: “Several scholars have suggested, therefore, that there was never either John [the Baptizer] or Jesus, but only a water-god and a sun-god.” This however flies in the face of historical evidence. Jewish historian Josephus testified to the existence of both John and Jesus. What are some other myths that have developed out of historical events?
