Because in a conscienceless society you can have no sincerity. With no conscience there is no accountability which contributes to that sincerity, the further people get from their morals the more numb they become to the feelings we all need to survive. That's why it's so important to keep our moral compass in tact.

I truly believe that it is something that is ingrained in us in childhood. If no one is home to teach us meaning if both parents are busy working then it is tough for them to teach us.Basically our parents help us to integrate into society by teaching us manners but the norm is that their is a two income household.Parents spend less time parenting. So we grow up learning what is acceptable behavior by copying friends or other adults but at the same time we pick up bad habits and insincere behavior.

Because, especially here in America, we are a "me first" society.
I also feel that people are just tired of everything.
But, you can find sincere people. We are still out there.
