The drinking game list:

1. If man came from monkeys . . . .
2. Jim Darwin self referential questions
3. Paschals wager
4. Atheists why are you in this section
5. Jesus tomb/Jesus bones

---

Should the game now have participants taking one or two questions, and thus it is now a true "game",

ie - I would take question 3 and 4 and drink a shot of rum on those questions, etc. and then whoever is last yahoo answeror playing not in the hospital with alcohol poison would win.

Does this sound more refined?

Iraq was invaded 'to protect Israel' - US official By Emad Mekay
WASHINGTON - Iraq under Saddam Hussein did not pose a threat to the United States, but it did to Israel, which is one reason why Washington invaded the Arab country, according to a speech made by a member of a top-level White House intelligence group.
Inter Press Service uncovered the remarks by Philip Zelikow, who is now the executive director of the body set up to investigate the terrorist attacks on the US in September 2001 - the 9/11 commission - in which he suggests a prime motive for the invasion just over one year ago was to eliminate a threat to Israel, a staunch US ally in the Middle East.

James Cameron's idea that he found the bones of Jesus, Mary and Judas. Does this mean that atheists have run out of objections? It rather funny that this grapping at straws constitutes news to Americans.

Just reading GratefulDead06's thoughtful answer to a question that started off, "Atheists...", he pointed out that we get a lot of this, "Christians..."
etc. etc.

Seems this is like racism, stereotyping whole groups, except questions in this vein substitute belief-groups for races.

IMHO, we have such a great opportunity on R&S for learning, understanding, discussion, seems a shame to muddy it up with this sort of shallow thinking.

Your thoughts pls?

At the beginning of the Catholic church some priest did own a little property that they had prior to their priesthood. Later men who wanted to become priests gave all their property to the church "before" they were allowed ot be priests. If they tried to cheat they did not become priests.
Some well intentioned people try to answer these question by looking on google.com. Good luck.

Secularists often claim that Christians "don't think for themselves" -- yet when it comes to this story, they're not thinking for themselves either.

If they were, they would know that only the wealthy could afford the type of tomb where "Jesus bones" were discovered -- and Jesus and His family were anything but wealthy.

And if the secularists thought for themselves -- instead of blindly following sensationalist news reports -- they would know that Jesus was an extremely common name among ancient Jews.

They'd also know that the real pros in this area of expertise -- the archaeologists -- have to a man rejected this "discovery" as a falsehood.

Get a grip, people. These are not Jesus' bones -- however much you'd like to believe they are, in order to advance your anti-Christian agenda.

Where the heck did the Easter Bunny come from?

Was this a statement from Jesus that was cut out of the Bible:

"And one last thing. To celebrate my resurrection, paint eggs. Then hide the eggs from the children, so that they may find them. And Paul, dress up as a giant rabbit and carry the eggs in a basket. Do this in remembrance of me."
