I can say with-out-a-doubt that I have never heard voices.

Are you telling us that you actually hear his voice? Hearing voices that other people can't hear can be signs of a serious problem. There is help aailable, and I would urge you to seek out a mental health professional immediately so that you do not become a danger to ourself or others.

If you are speaking figuratively, then let me say that I think the question is rather silly. It makes the assumption that there is a Jesus to begin with, and then assumes that this entity speaks to people, following with the assumption that it would speak to everyone. Quite a string of assumptions for such a short question. You know what they say about assuming, right? "When you ASSUME, it make an *** out of U and ME."

Atheists do not hear any voices talking to them. We have a conscience, which I guess could be described as an inner voice, but we do not attribute it to a supernatural outside force. It is just a function of our psyche.

Do you hear Jesus talking to you? If you do, I think it's about time you went to see a psychologist.

Or I tip him, if he's my server at El Maguey. A little conversation is nice.

"or do you just pretend he's not there?" You seem to be the one doing most of the pretending.

He doesn't talk to me. If a dead man is talking to you I suggest you make an appointment with a psychiatrist.

He never has. That'd be something, now wouldn't it?

Want to give him my cell phone number?

Either that or I say, "Estoy apesadumbrado, pero no hablo español. "
