Here is a link about the origins of Eastre and the bunny...
http://altreligion.about.com/cs/alchemy/a/mpreviss.htm
It says, in part...
In second century Europe, the predominate spring festival was a raucous Saxon fertility celebration in honor of the Saxon Goddess Eastre (Ostara), whose sacred animal was a hare. The colored eggs associated with the bunny are of another, even more ancient origin. The eggs associated with this and other Vernal festivals have been symbols of rebirth and fertility for so long the precise roots of the tradition are unknown, and may date to the beginning of human civilization. Ancient Romans and Greeks used eggs as symbols of fertility, rebirth, and abundance- eggs were solar symbols, and figured in the festivals of numerous resurrected gods.

You have the question up now.
The computers are programed to cancel certain words and phrases. I some times have to ask one question like you did and then put the real one in the space below.
No people do not read these and deside what to post or not. It is completely automated and makes many mistakes. so if it is not there then do as you just did ask one question in the header and another in the box.

The egg can be used for the symbol of new life or rebirth. That bunny I'm not so sure about. But they are good at making new life too.
below are three good links exploring the german, pagan and egyptian spring rites that led to our modern day bunny and eggs.

? Don't know...but to answer your question..the Easter Bunny is not a religious ikon, and is in no way associated with biblical text. Its just a cool way for kids to be able to celebrate spring.......just like Christmas & Santa.
