I worship pre-Christian gods. Yet throughout the years, I've been told by other pagans that "real" pagans MUST believe in a 3-fold law, karma, they MUST believe that psychic attacks are common and practice magic, they have to be politically liberal and dress up on Halloween, and that they MUST belong to a coven or local pagan group or read the "right" books.

Why do I have to believe in these specific things to be a "real" pagan? Do you feel that a person isn't a "real" pagan if they don't do some of these things? Is there anything that you feel a pagan MUST do or believe in for you to consider them a "real" pagan? Why? For example, if a person doesn't believe in karma, why do people say they aren't "real" pagans? If someone doesn't celebrate Halloween, why are they not "real" in their worship of their gods? I'm asking about the umbrella term "pagan" and not any specific pagan path.

Why do atheists think that religeous people don't understand that there was a big bang? Obviously there was, and there is proof of that. Why do atheist beleive that the big bang came from nothing? Where did the matter come from? Why is there a universe at all. The big bang theory does not explain this; all that it explains is that the matter in the universe was condensed into a single point and that it exploded outward. That is not a theory of creation. THE BIG BANG WAS THE EFFECT, NOT THE CAUSE!

We atheists claim that Christians will find out they are wrong when they die and there's no heaven, but that's just it - they die. There's nothing. They will never consciously know they were wrong. Atheists would never get the chance to say "See, I told you so." Isn't that so unfair?

Please don't just say what charity or charities is your favorite, please also include contact information so others can help if they see a charity or cause they'd like to help with.

Some of my current projects:
National Ataxia Foundation ( http://www.ataxia.org/ ) -- Two users here have a form of Ataxia and while I find the users' begging for prayer annoying, I've donated to this organization in their name. *fingers crossed for a cure*

World Wildlife Fund for Nature ( http://www.panda.org/ ) -- I'm a big wolfie fan and a big tiger & lion fan too.

K9 Special Forces ( no webpage, doesn't accept donations) -- A Search and Rescue team that I work with from time to time, co-founder of the team.

Isn't it a coincidence that the gods the jews made up - sorry i mean found, had them as his chosen people. Lucky they didnt find one that said the Canaanites were his chosen people or the jews would have to have committed mass suicide like one of those cults.

Jehovah Jehovah - Now he said it!

How come people believe in this sighting and how come they start worshiping them? For example go to this website http://community.woai.com/photos/jesustree/picture1310315.aspx
and you will see the spiritual sighting that is happening in this city. People have gathered and have made altars to worship it. Whats the deal with that?

christianity has always denied science in a way. but to my poiny of view science just shows how intelligent beings we are. science is in itself a sort of religion. we do not need no god to think in a rational manner and science is based entirely on rational thinking. that is maybe a reason why so many poeple are becoming atheists because at last poeple think rationally and ask themselves questions. science disciplines the mind and at last shows how close we are to being gods on earth.

what do you think about that

God revealed the bible, and ordered Jews and Christians to protect it from corruption, and don't let anyone to change any word in it,however they disobeyed god,and that's why it was corrupted.Unlike the bible god didn't order any Muslim to protect the Quran,he said that he will do it himself.and that's why it won't be corrupted ever, even if MUSLIMS tried to corrupt it,yet god ordered Muslims to protect The sunna.

015.009 We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption).(QURAN)

Thanks to all the regulars, especially Bryan. I thought I'd give you all the all-clear, so you guys can get back to talking about Christian stuff. You know - why does the Bible contradict itself in so many places, that sort of thing.

I have to leave a question here, so let me ask you christians one thing - what do you think would hurt your faith more? Pain or temptation
