It was -9 Farenheit here last night, it took my breath away quite rapidly.

Every night when I step out onto my porch for that last cigarette before retiring, I spend a few moments looking at the stars....thinking, wishing, dreaming. It's my time alone to meditate without kids interrupting, dogs barking or any other intrusions. I'm fortunate to live in the country where the sky goes on forever without end, and the only thing to limit me is my imagination. I find it as breath taking as you do, and oh the things I wish for. Nice question Jim. Thanks.

Yes, its beautiful. I havent wished on a falling star in years. I suppose my wish would be to finally be with my husband since he and I are from different countries and have been doing long distance for 6 years.

It makes me think of that scene in Contact where she's on the other planet. I'd like to experience that. It was beautiful.
I imagine tiny little beings on one of those tiny little planets and how very far away they must be. It makes me feel very alone, but not in a bad way.

I look up at the smog and wish I didn't live next to one of Europe's biggest petro-chemical complexes.

sure makes me wonder looking at millions of light years of history in the sky why God made earth so small in relation to other planets sizes.
I guess God knew we'd try to screw it up and thus a small space to do it in.
