Adam & Eve had the exact same DNA, didn't they?

Not exactly, but pretty darn close.

Eve seems to be a female clone of Adam, so they'd have basically the same DNA, however with an all powerful being that may not be true. The real question is, who in the heck is Cain's wife, and where did she come from?

These are two completely different questions so I'll address them differently.

The first is a scientific question about what DNA is, etc. DNA is a nucleic acide that contains a set of instructions which tell your cells how to replicate, grow, die, etc. This information is coded into your body's cells and is alternatively called your genetic code. Each individual's body is controlled at the molecular level by the DNA code. Since we are all different, we all have individual codes although we share a VERY large portion of DNA material and that makes us all human. In other words, about 99% of our DNA defines us as "human" and the other 1% defines us as "simbha_07" or "madnoelle" etc.

The other question you asked was whether Adam & Eve had the same DNA. There's no real way to know this for sure because the story of Adam & Eve which is in the Bible does not explicitly talk about whether this is true. The following may help, however.

There could actually be two views on this.

First View:
Adam and Eve were two separate people. Like all people that have come after them, they shared a lot of DNA similarities that made them human but they also had difference that made them individuals.

Second View:
According to the Bible, "And the Yahweh caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the Yahweh had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man". This could mean that since Eve did not have any "parents" but instead her "stuff" came only from Adam, she was like a clone of Adam.

Genetically, though, this wouldn't make perfect sense since our gender is also controlled by our genetic code. So, Adam and Eve would have to have had two different (maybe just slightly) genetic codes.

Of course, many people may say that God can do whatever He wants and while that may be true, He also works in ways we can understand a glimmer of. In the case of DNA, a person may believe that God created man but the differences are still manifest in man's DNA.

I would go with the first explanation. That is, Adam and Eve had different genetic codes (DNA).

Well, humans do have individualized DNA. No one has the exact same genetic code. Eve would have to had XX and Adam XY.

But you're trying to apply science to Adam and Eve, which just ain't gonna fly. If we follow that story, the inbreeding would have caused a lot of problems, so Adam and Eve never could have populated the entire earth.

If adam and Eve had identical DNA they would be Adam and Adam. Nobody has the exact same DNA as another, otherwise they would be physically identical. Also adam and eve are a myth

Adam and Eve didn't have DNA because they didn't exist.

Everyone has individual DNA apart from identical twins or triplets etc.

DNA mutates in small ways over decades, in larger ways over centuries and millennia. One example is your appendix. It used to be more useful when we were less civilized and ate more raw meat. Now that we've been cooking our meat for millennia, the organ has become vestigal (non-functional) in humans.

There is no way to answer this question, you're mixing religous beliefs with science.....
