Satan is remarkably predictable when he plays "tricks" on us. In each and every instance, he either 1) attempts to corrupt the message God sends to His people or 2) attempts to thwart God's will.
We see the ramifications of this every day. Corruptions of God's word exist in places such as the Book of Mormon, the Koran and The New World Translation (used by Jehovah's Witnesses only). Each of these either waters down or eradicates completely the Way of salvation given to humankind by God. Also, false teachers and prophets exist, who lead many away from God's true message.
Attempts to thwart God's will began at the Garden of Eden. Other examples include Satan attempting to kill the baby Jesus, resulting in the "slaughter of the innocents" by Herod; and the complete eradication of the Jewish people, so they cannot bring the return of the Messiah (for example, the Holocaust and the time of intense Jewish persecution under the Antichrist during the Great Tribulation).

The most diabolical, I don't know. I guess it depends on the time or whether it's at a personal level. Hate, like the hate that caused the Holocaust, or the hate that is causing terrorism. Child molestation, kidnapping and killing isn't so pleasant. On a personal level, obsession with pornography and gambling ruins a lot of people. Then there's alcohol and drugs that cause addiction and destruction of lives and families. I don't know.

The most diabolical trick Satan could play, in my opinion, would be to turn Christians from the following of Christ. Some Christians are weak in their faith - "doubting Thomas" - so for them to accept an Anti-Christ who portrays himself as the real mccoy - would not be surprising news for me to hear.

Satan can do something petty to anyone and that petty something can turn out to be diabolical especially if you don't understand whats going on and you don't have a solution to the problem.

Mostly the lie that he doesn't exist and that there is no hell to be saved FROM and if people don't fall for THAT lie, satan will try to deceive them into thinking that they can save themselves and that it is "narrrow-minded" and "intolerant" to say that Jesus is the
ONLY way when satan KNOWS that is the absolute TRUTH.
The list of his lies, especially in the realm of false religion -- ALL
religion that DENIES the BLOOD of Jesus as the ONLY means of
salvation for mankind -- is endless, because he will say anything to keep people from coming to Jesus as their ONLY hope for sal-vation and eternal life in heaven.....All in his vendetta to strike back
at God!!!

Many would say it would be to get people to believe there is no God. But, I think he would want people to believe there is a God, but that he would want them to believe that he was god. This will be the case when he comes as the anti-Christ. He will do miracles and attempt to convince people that he is the Christ. The Bible says that he will be so convincing that even the true believers will be hard pressed not to accept him.

Showing up in an Android as a result of mankind's finest creation in technology. Then proclaim that he is god. Then declare that those who refuse to worship him be removed from the earth.
