Go for it! I'm on my third day without a cigarette, and I have substituted exercise for the nicotine (a damned poor substitute, I've discovered, but breathng is so necessary to living). We'll be in it together.

Be aware of the difference between cravings and habits. Often you will crave out of habit try to change your routine at the start. Stay away from high risk situations that will temp you to smoke. Try to stay calm and have another avenue for those times when under stress that can be your weakest moments and I highly recommend the patches. Use all three milligrams box by box week by week as directed and use peppermint gum or Candy while you wear the patch. It will be not be easy. 18 days to make a habit longer to break it GOOD LUCK!

Good luck. I don't envy anyone within 50 feet of you during that first week, but stick it out. It beats my two packs a day.

God will help you to keep your commitment.
He answered my prayers to take that desire away from me. One day (well over 2 years ago) I awoke with no desire to smoke again.
I pray He will do the same for you.
God Bless you! You will be in my prayers.
