Explain to me then why so many patients during their operation die and leave their bodies and spectate and were able to describe the exact conversation doctors and nurses were having, and when they came back in their bodies they were able to tell them what the conversation thy were having, and they backed it up and told the patients they were right. Also just to let you know there have been three world wide studies on life after death and all three studies from well know scientis, Proffesors, etc (how ever you spell it)have proven that at the point of death your conciousness leaves your body. The first theory years ago when the first sudied it was lack oif oxigen to the brain, or drugs given, Halllucinaitons etc, but the recent study found that the original theory of drugs etc were proven to be false. This women(true story) died in hospital after unseccessful attempts to reccusitate her, and her spirit left her body, and she found herself on top of the hospital roof, and saw a red shoe

Mutilation is severing of some part from body. It could be genital, tonsorial or manicural.

Remember Samson and Delilah?

Observe the way of life of brotherhood of the Shik whose philosophical concept is that of two ancient and vast religions of human society that advocates preservation of hair.

And many a race and religion practises genital mutilation of both sexes.

Or is the word 'mutilation' is in itself in error?

And is such practise by a minority is in order where majority abhors it?

I just got an email from a Yahoo! Answers christian (won't say who) which started off mocking me for one of my answers (which was very astute mind you) and then telling me that I "need salvation". Initially I was taken aback, thinking "why would a christian, touting Jesus' message of love be so insulting" but then I remembered that Christianity thrives on beating people down and making them feel that they are less than they are and that they need something more to be whole. So I guess I'm no longer surprised by the email. Typical Christian tactic though I doubt this was the senders intention, must have been a subconscious effort from all the brainwashing. What are your thoughts on this?

I'm not biased either way. I am just curious as to why YOU personally believe in God? Or if you don't believe, then why?

For those who say that he didn't praay to Himself but to His Father,
His Father and Him is one, right? If yes, Then why did He pray to Himself?
If no, then why does He worship another God? Do Christians believe in 3 Gods?

AND:

Does the Father worsship Jesus?
Does the Holy Spirit worship Jesus?
Does the Holy Spirit worship the Father?
Does Father worship Holy Spirit?

I have a courtdate in a little over a week to finalize my bankruptcy. I have some bills that I am worried will not be discharged due to complicated issues. (I got scammed, very bad). I have about $16,000 in debt. I've been beating myself up over it pretty bad. I always tell myself, "If I could just go back and redo that one thing a couple years ago..." I hate it. I just wanna be a normal young adult and get on with my life. I've been praying everyday asking for god's healing, help and his forgiveness. Is he listening? I know, this sounds silly, but sometimes I wonder. I hope he is.

Please guys, be serious. No jokes. I'm going through alot here.

There are no first edition copies left, or anything even close to 2000+ years old.
Obviously no one alive then is alive now. Most of it is chinese whispers through dozens of generations, when even now you can't pass a rumour from one office to another without it changing!!
Is it likely to be any more truthful than other fables and legends; relating to norse and greek gods ruling the world?
I want proper proof, not just waffle about that is what believing is etc.....

as evolution theory says that the Universe is created from the void or vacuum ie the God had his total energy in the form of potential energy , then why God changed his energy into the motion or universe.what could be the possible reason for the God to do so. i am not telling wheather it is truth or not but suppose it is true then what could be the purpose of God for creating the Universe

Why do people always refer to God as "Him"? Surely it's really disrespectful to put any human characteristics on It, since It's outside of human conscience (if there even is a God)?

The Bible was written in a time where Man was in power; you only need to look at the older texts (not the Bible) to see that - and we all know how much filtering goes on when writing such a text as the Bible.

So what is the justification for calling God Male?

I don't know how many comments I've read that say something like: Belief in a god only leads to sexisim, homophobia, irrational thinking, repression of female power, wars, inquisition, more child abuse, rape due to repression and so on.

In the Christian belief, these things are seen as extremely wrong and aren't part of believing in God at all. In fact, it teaches to do the quite the opposite to avoid all of those. Without something teaching against it we would have no order and it would all run rampant in society and no one would think that it was wrong.

I acknowledge that these are simply my opinions and views, but it just doesn't make sense to me.

Humanism is "the belief that human problems can by solved through science rather than religion". http://pewebdic2.cw.idm.fr/display/display.html?search_str=humanism

Some of so-called "scientists" believe in whatever seems to be most probable to them, that is, their religion is based upon nothing but an inspiration. They would not be charlatans if they called things by their proper names, being honest. So, is true science not humanistic and based not on "if" and "most likely" and opinions of people, but based on an aim to seek God, who only one knows truth without "if"?
