Dear Friend,
The Bible teaches us that the world as we know it, i.e. under human control will come to an end.
Let us consider the Scriptures for the answer:
The scriptures In the book of Genesis God created man, and gave him the whole of the Earth to live in and do as he wished. All god said was:
Genesis 3:3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' " God wanted them to leave this one tree alone as a symbol of his aithority, but Satan was jelous of Adam and Eve, and as we know he tempted Eve to eat from the tree as did Adam when tempted by Eve.
Gods origional purpose for us, was that we should live forever, on a paradise earth with him looking over us as a loving god
The bible says that god created them both in his own image, i.e. perfectly, and that if they had not questioned gods authority they would have lived forever, but in doing so, we became imperfect and death entered into the world: Romans 5:12 Death Through Adam, Life Through Christ
12Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned—
Under gods own law i.e. Leviticus 24:20 fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth. As he has injured the other, so he is to be injured. the sacrifice of one perfect life (Adam) required the sacrifice of another perfect life (Jesus) This is why in John 3:16 it says 16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
The sacrifice of his Son atoned for all sin past present and future.
Now as for hell, it says in Revelation: Revelation 12:9
The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
This clearly stated that satan was hurled to earth, not hell, and also it states that he is misleading the whole planet, (false religion) Think of all the evil that men do, doesn't this make sense!
Now concerning the end:
Jesus said that: 4Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,[a]' and will deceive many. 6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
and
2 Timothy 3:1But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.
The bible says also the following: Acts 10:43
All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.
So Jesus clearly teaches us that the end will come. God has given us the Bible, Baptism and the most amasing goft of forgiveness of sins through his sons sacrifice. So when this end finally comes his judgement will be perfect! amazing is it not. We are small insiginificant human beings, but god loves each and every one of us so much that he gave his sons life for our redemption!.
In Revalation7:13Then one of the elders asked me, "These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?"
14I answered, "Sir, you know."
And he said, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15Therefore,
"they are before the throne of God
and serve him day and night in his temple;
and he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them.
16Never again will they hunger;
never again will they thirst.
The sun will not beat upon them,
nor any scorching heat.
17For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd;
he will lead them to springs of living water.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
What a wonderful message the Bible gives, Gods authority was bought into question by Satan, and humanity in the book of Geesis, so to vindicate his name God has given us a 'trial period' to prove that we can not live without his rule. Within this period he has give us the Bible as his word, Holy Spirit as guide and helper, and the wonderful gift of forgiveness through our Lord Jesus.
So, the answer is yes, this period will come to an end, but not the Earth itself.
God loves you, and wants you to come home.
God bless

It depends on what perspective you're seeing.
According to the Bible, the world is without end and it describes that one day Jesus will come back again to this world and will be the Ruler of this earth. He will change this world to become the "New Jerusalem". But before that happens, this world has to undergo destruction etc. People always associate this event with "the world has come to an end"
Just like the principles when someone wants to build a new house out of an old house. He has to destroy the old house and then build the new construction.
Jesus will do the same to this world.
That's why Christianity always invites people to repent because when Jesus come to be Ruler of this earth, all who believe in Him and His Word will remain with Him and the rest who abandon Him will be sent to Hell with Satan.

Of course it will. Virtually every world will come to an end at some point. How/when/where and why are the only real variables. Of course the Mayan calander states that the world as we know it will end sometime in the end of December, 2012, I believe it's the 28th or 29th, with a google search of the mayan calander you can find dates and explanations and whatnot.

Yes. Anything which is having a beginning is bound to have an end. However, it may take years together for the world to come to an end.

Japan's tsunami change into brought about by potential of the earthquake, this is basically brought about by potential of plates below the floor shifting. Its no enormous deal :-) also, the in uncomplicated words reason they say 2012 is the end of the international, is because all the planets are going to line up. they say which will make a gravitational distinction. PSH. liars. finally, the earth isn't spinning faster. each little thing will be ok. the international isnt coming to chaos- imagine about it! those organic failures take position each year. in our lifetime, the international received't come to an end. wish this helped! :-)

I don't think the earth will end.
Genesis 8:21
And the LORD smelled a soothing aroma. Then the LORD said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.
Matthew 5:5
Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth.
And I don't think the human race will end. I think it will be...changed...maybe winnowed is a good word.

Yes. Hopefully it will happen by a huge comet traveling at close to the speed of light. We could all be vaporised painlessly without having to know it's about to happen. But if it doesn't happen that way, you can rest assured that the sun will eventually expand until the earth is engulfed in superheated plasma. So yes, human existence is futile and procreation serves no purpose.

As many others have said, the answer is almost certainly yes.
But what many answerers who feverishly hope for an impending doom forget is rarely if ever in the universe is an end, the only end.
Most ends are a transition.

1. Satya yuga lasts for 1,728,000 years.
2. Tret-yuga lasts 1,296,000 years.
3. Dvapara-yuga lasts 864,000 years.
4. Kali-yuga -lasts 432,000 years.
Since only 5,000 years is past from the beginning of Kali-yuga, there is still 427,000 left for the end of Kali yuga. Even the Kali-yuga is not the end of the world. After the end of Kali-yuga, again Satya yuga starts. It is like change of different seasons.
Srila Jayadeva Gosvami and Srimad Bhagavatam mention about Kalki avatar coming at the end of Kali-yuga and starting Satya-yuga.
