Dominus

It feels that sometimes that I'm carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders. I don't know what to believe anymore. They say two people can look at the same thing and see totally different things. Are we truly creating our own world... making these illusions with a blindfold over us?
I once had a weird dream.. there were these people and they seemed like they wanted to help me. Their words were, "Don't be afraid. We're watching you. Don't believe it."

Poverty, sickness, death, tragedy, war, chaos.. these are just a few factors of the world we see today. How do we find truth within ourselves when the path to that truth is degraded and manipulated? Does anyone else feel like they're another puppet in a play?

the first commandment says:

THOU SHALT NOT HAVE strange gods BEFORE ME.

"Idolizing material images to the point they are held in superstition, and as men would suspect, suppose, determine 'The Creator of All Things' would be like; such as idols of human form or animal likeness also. (Pictures, Crosses,Holy Water Etc.)

Eliminating the Mystery of a Divine Being that no man can touch, see or feel. Replacing this Mystery with physical means and emphasis put on knowledge and man's own senses. (Saying Jesus Was God In human Form )

Interpreting God to fit a manner, mood and way, making Him humanly understandable rather than Divine." (What Would Jesus Do)

That Being Said isnt christianity breakin the first commandment?

My parents always told me it is.

What is YOUR Opinion on what the Bible says about drinking?

However I am an adult now and I do not believe it is a sin to drink, in general. I believe it is a sin to drink until you are drunk. The Bible says it is not what goes into a man that defiles him, it is what comes out. I take this to mean if you drink or do anything as such, do not let yourself get to the point, to where bad things are coming out of your mouth And DO NOT drive when you have drank. They threw parties and weddings in Bible times when Jesus drank wine, but they had horses to ride ... NOT CARS! I've never heard of a man on horseback who is drunk running over someone with hit horse. However we all know cars do.

Why do some Christions say that being a queer is no big deal, when Romans 1:26-27 condemns this sin?

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their woman did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was their meet.

Queers need to repent.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.

Jesus got himself baptised, went back in time to his own baptism, and spoke in the sky over himself to make the people think he was the Father????
Isn't that somewhat decietful for him to do that? It's easier to believe he played mindtricks through time travel than to think that maybe the Trinity answer makes more sense?

Islam, Catholicism, and Lutheranism are all what religion? monotheistic, poly., protestant, or christian?

2007-02-04 07:16:58 · 15 answers · asked by fivefootone 2

Hello, Im considering going out with a protestant Man. He doesn't know Im not christian. I would sincerely like to know what is it that makes you different from being catholic or church of england.

I know the basic tenants of christanity so I don't need clarification with those.

Im sincerely wondering what is different. Would he perhaps insist on me being baptisted protestant? Would he insist any children be protestant? I know the catholic church insists you bring up your children catholic.

These are all sincere questions I mean no ridicule or disrespect.

I am not arguing Evolution here, I am questioning why so many state it is a now a fact.
(Dr. Collin Patterson evolutionist, )
"For over 20 years I thought I was working on evolution. But there was not one thing I knew about it. So for the last few weeks I've tried putting a simple question to various people, the question is, "Can you tell me any one thing that is true?" I tried that question on the Geology staff at the Field Museum of Natural History and the only answer I got was silence. I tried it on the members of the Evolutionary Morphology Seminar in the University of Chicago, A very prestigious body of Evolutionists, and all I got there was silence for a long time and eventually one person said, "Yes, I do know one thing, it ought not to be taught in High School"....over the past few years. you have experienced a shift from Evolution as knowledge to evolution as faith...

I posted what I thought was an intelligent and provocative question about cryogenic freezing and nobody has answered yet. But if I had asked Is there a God-I would be looking at 400 different answers by now. I'm a little bummed because I took a lot of time to put the question together and I really dont like to type to no avail.

Last time I ask this. To me suicide seem only natural
for the ugly, weak, and unitelligent should not have to
go through life suffering like we do. Why will I be sent
to Hell for having being born highly imperfect. The more
imperfection is destroyed the more perfection can shine!
An unattractive man will never be loved or be able to mate
or find a mate so why go on with a useless life going no where?
Laugh at me, call me a troll, don't believe me,I really don't give
a damn anymore ok? I know what I'm trying to express and you
don't so just leave me alone. Pray to your gods whomever they
are. If they don't show me out of this desicion than it's not my
fault if I wake up in Hell ok? THIS IS A SERIOUS QUESTION FOR
SERIOUS ANSWERS and if it gets deleted again I'll just give up
and take a few thousand pain killers anyway.

God spoke of curses on the Earth, and horrid retributions upon mankind, and he spoke of perversions and iniquitous goings on, he even spoke of the idea of destroying humankind, including the animals (Genesis 6); but he never spoke of eternal life.

Jesus introduced the idea, presumably on God's authority.
Since God never changes, how do explain the change?
