Hold on ... "Monotheism" and "Polytheism" are classes
of religions that can be quite distinct from each other.

For instance the Druids and the Ancient Greeks both
had entirely independent systems of religions that had
multiple gods (polytheism).

I know of no major population groups that are
polytheistic. They certainly still exist, but they are
less than 1% of Earth's population.

And of course "Muslim" and "Christian" are pretty
different too, but both only believe in one god and
are therefore "monotheistic".

Religions are broken down into tinier and tinier divisions
(sometimes called sects). For instance, observerers
of Christianity believe that there was this really important
character named Christ, but within that, they may argue
about why he is important, what he did, etc.

If you are immersed in a particular religion (like the
majority of people in the US profess to be some
variant of Christian), its easy to see its different branches
on the same level as other religions. That is, without
exposure to Muslims, you might think they were as
different from Catholics as Protestants were.

Clearly they are far more different, as the split in
beliefs between Muslims and Christians was far
longer ago than the split between Catholicism and
Protestantism.

"Atheism" and "Agnosticism" are not really religions.
One means "Does not believe in God" and the other
means "Is not sure if Gods exist or not and what
form he, she or they might take".

Islam is Monotheistic, we believe in God alone with no partners

Catholism claims to be monotheistic, but they worship saints, the virgin Mary, so in my opinion they are Polytheists. Since their concept of the Trinity includes multiple things which are one

I am unfamiliar with Lutheranism, I think they had something to do with the reformation, but I can't comment on what I do not know about.

[006:125] And whomsoever God wills to guide, He opens his breast to Islâm; and whomsoever He wills to send astray, He makes his breast closed and constricted, as if he is climbing up to the sky. Thus God puts the wrath on those who believe not.

[006:126] And this is the path of your Lord (the Qur'ân and Islâm) leading straight. We have detailed Our Revelations for a people who take heed.

[006:127] For them will be the home of peace (Paradise) with their Lord. And He will be their Walî (Helper and Protector) because of what they used to do.
