Rama and Krishna are the most well-loved avatars of Vishnu. Rama is regarded as the ideal karma yogi, always duty bound and doing what is best. Rama is seen as the destroyer of evil, as he destroyed Ravana.

Krishna is regarded by many to be the Supreme Being himself, and mystics especially are drawn to him because of his extreme spiritual potency, demonstrated by his dialog with Arjuna during the Battle of Kurukshetra (Bhagavad Gita). Krishna is most often worshipped as the boy who was the beloved of all the gopis of Vrindavan, for it was then that he had most of his spiritual pasttimes.

Worship doesnot mean praising the lord for his gifts. Worship is also a learning process. We gotta learn from their lives as how they lead their lives and get inspired.

We worship Rama and Krishna for the same. They got us rid of a hell of evils during those ages. Being so powerful they wer humble enough to the people around them. Rama was known to be a man of his words and Krishna was known for his wits. We worship them cos we wanna keep them in our minds all the time and be inspired. They are not considered as Gods but forms of God. In hindus every creation of His is considered as a part of Him. We believe there's God in you, in me, in each of the being out there, in this mother earth, in this air, in this water, and so on. The ultimate is the 'Parmatma' one the is whole. We are just parts of it. If you wanna prove ourself as an improtant part of the ulitmate, you should perform your 'Karma' (action) in that way.

They should have 'worshipped' Parmatma, Parmishwar, Brahman; then Rama and Krishna are venerated alongwith.
