Where a bunch of hateful and genocital monkeys live. Our civilization has been around for thousands of years but its still the same. The strong still stand on the weak. What makes you think any of that will change without religion.

I would say compassion and caring to all. Loving and forgiving. Does the Christian God portray these qualities?

The very early universe:
All our understanding of the very early universe (cosmogony) is speculative. No accelerator experiments currently probe sufficiently high energies to provide insight into this period. Scenarios differ radically. Some ideas include the Hartle-Hawking initial state, string landscape, brane inflation, string gas cosmology, and the ekpyrotic universe. Some of these ideas are mutually compatible, others are not.

The Planck epoch: 10-43 second:
If supersymmetry is correct, then at this time the four fundamental forces – electromagnetism, weak nuclear force, strong nuclear force and gravity – all have the same strength, so they are possibly unified into one fundamental force.

So my question is:
Where did the electromagnetism, weak nuclear force, strong nuclear force and gravity come from? Did they just poof out of nowhere? If you answer yes then you beleive in a higher power, if you answer no, then How were these things born/created/appeared.

Obviously this calls for some people who have experience dealing with spirits.

Can you ask them whatever you want and get a definite answer?

If so can you please quench my desire for knowledge and ask them what is written on the gates of Heaven?

Thank you

Personally i think mankind would progress further without involvement of any Gods, (I"ve capitolised it out of respect for those who believe). Since time began we seem to have lived our lives having to believe in some higher power. Why not start believing in ourselves?

This is part of an answer to a previous question regarding the 'proof' of the bible that the Christian god exists:

"if people don't believe God exists, then they don't have to be accountable to anyone for their actions"

Are most Christians in agreement with that statement?

Are no Christians accountable to themselves or their family or their community? How about to humanity? No? Just God?

What about if you believe in a different God? Does that make you not accountable still? It's the 'wrong' god and therefore doesn't count?

Can humans only be accountable to the Christian god??

" On this subject - See the film "Jesus Camp" now on video. This amazing documentary chronicles the recruiting of young children to be "Soldiers in God's Army". Pastor Becky Fischer runs the Kids on Fire Summer Camp in which children smash symbols of the United States Government with a baseball bat and speak in tongues in front of a cardboard cutout of George Bush. The young evangelists also get tips on how to "use the cute kid thing" to get what they want from the notorious Ted Haggard.... Is this God's way or has Pastor Becky just flipped out? You decide. "

Don't forget the resources you have available to you. You can buy yourself an indulgence to help pay for your sins and don't forget to pay for masses for your dead loves ones. You can also go to the shrine and light a candle for the dead--er...don't forget to put $3.00 in the box, mere technicality. It will help them get out of purgatory. You and I both know the blood of Jesus is not powerful enough to cleanse all sins. And yes, make sure you pray the rosary you know it has 15 promises for you. Hey, Mary said it at Fatima. If one of those Bible thumpers quotes Matthew 6:7 tell them to mind their own business. Don't miss mass. That's where you get to eat, I mean receive Jesus. Talk to him while he is in the monstrance. He gets lonely sitting in there by himself. I've talked enough, sleep on...oh, one more thing. When one of those Bible thumpers directs you to the Bible, don't forget that it is a mortal sin for your to doubt Mother Church. You will be banished to hell for all eternity. You're shaking. You don't have to fear, just make sure you stay away from those Protestants and their King James Bible.

I have been told that the pronunciation of the name had been lost, therefore it is not used in the NT. The curious thing though, is that if Jesus was his son (or God himself as some claim), then he would certainly know the name and the pronunciation. Why did God want to be known by that name in the OT, but not in the NT?

Sarah couldn't have children, so Abraham's servent Hagar was sent to him to have his first born son. So why did he sacrifice his son with Sarah and not his first born from Hagar. Because in the bible it says his FIRST BORN was to be sacrificed.

I was at my house and there was some other family living there a husband, wife, and 1 or 2 children. There was a strange tree in the front yard that was black and ugly looking but it was alive and moving. The tree started attacking us and took a little girl and absorbed her inside the tree trunk. The tree was all black and oily and it took took the girl to steal and use her energy. The girl's father got her out but the tree grabbed him and absorbed him into it. He gave the tree a lot of energy and the tree started changing. As strange as this sounds the tree started growing these huge brown eggs on it like they were fruit. I know they were eggs because one of them hatched and this big pink bird came out. It was like a prehistoric bird and started flying right away. We ran inside and the bird tried to fly inside but we shut the door. We knew the others were coming and that was the end.

I haven't been even watching TV lately so I don't know where all this weird stuff came from.

It says that Cain has a mark that anyone FINDING him will know not to kill him. What sort of mark was this?

Obviously it was a mark so anyone that see's him coming will notice the difference that it is Cain.

My mother believes that this mark was a color change, possibly black. being the first black man was Cain. Is that possible?

I posted two atheism-related questions within the last few hours and they never showed up. What gives? I posted another non atheism-related question this morning and it showed up just fine.

Or does it have something to do with my level? My first question was submitted when I was a Level 1, then I became a Level 2 later this morning and my questions after that didn't show up.

I would hate to think that Yahoo is filtering questions though. Mine were harmless.
