Don't forget the resources you have available to you. You can buy yourself an indulgence to help pay for your sins and don't forget to pay for masses for your dead loves ones. You can also go to the shrine and light a candle for the dead--er...don't forget to put $3.00 in the box, mere technicality. It will help them get out of purgatory. You and I both know the blood of Jesus is not powerful enough to cleanse all sins. And yes, make sure you pray the rosary you know it has 15 promises for you. Hey, Mary said it at Fatima. If one of those Bible thumpers quotes Matthew 6:7 tell them to mind their own business. Don't miss mass. That's where you get to eat, I mean receive Jesus. Talk to him while he is in the monstrance. He gets lonely sitting in there by himself. I've talked enough, sleep on...oh, one more thing. When one of those Bible thumpers directs you to the Bible, don't forget that it is a mortal sin for your to doubt Mother Church. You will be banished to hell for all eternity. You're shaking. You don't have to fear, just make sure you stay away from those Protestants and their King James Bible.

Dont be offended. Its just one view of some one who probably has had a bit of experience in the catholic church and is just thinking out loud.

There are many ways to be a "good" catholic, one is to question and seek truth about what you are being preached in church. dont just follow anything blindly, thats just stupid.

Ask your parents and priests as many questions about the teachings of the church as possible. You may grow to love the catholic faith even more.

Or like me you wont bother goin back cause they cant give straight answers.

Its actually pretty funny. And if u belive that anyone that is not catholic is going to hell....... the you obvioulsy havnt been goin to church often enough idiot. Whats the main thing taught at catholic church?...... God loves all and forgives all.

There's a very good reason not to use the King James Bible (at least for theological purposes. For literary or quoting purposes, well, not many things compare with the power of Middle English!). The King James Bible is an inferior translation (by today's standards) of the original Greek and especially the original Hebrew and Aramaic. Moreover, many verses were translated in such a manner as to reflect the political situation of England at the time (after several bloody conflicts between Protestants and Catholics). Thus, several verses stress loyalty to the God-appointed King, perhaps moreso than the original writings of the prophets.

Not that I think the Latin Vulgate is a reasonable alternative to the KJV either.

Take it from me, a Catholic, that only the Blood of Jesus can forgive sins, and that's what the Church teaches.
Candle's don't help anyone get outta Purgatory. Prayers do. Indulgences aren't sold- that was a sinful abuse if ever there was one- and you don't have to pay for Masses, its just tradition.
Hey, i just read Matt. 6... do you think Jesus would contradict himself? Cause if you don't think so, read Matthew 26:44.
Doubts don't send you to Hell. One of the Apostles doubted and Jesus didn't banish Him to Hell.
And about Communion...what do you think Jesus meant when He said "...'Take, eat; this is my body.'"? (Matt. 26:26).

Yes. Catholics should be offended by rudeness.

Yet, we are still of the same Christian family, Catholic and Protestant alike. We simply have not settled the family argument.

Let us pray together for unity, kindness, and understanding. Even in your insults, as Jesus taught I forgive your offenses to my Catholic Faith.

How could we ever have unity among Christians with this elitist garbage, if this is what protestants really think and say then I want no part of their twisted views.

Yes -- I am deeply offended. I am Catholic and you take the teachings of the Church totally out of context. I forgive your ignorance.....

I think they should be but doubt they will be. Christ is the only way the church and pope have no salvation to offer.

Spoken like a true heathen. Only Catholics will get into heaven, the rest of you, who knows where you will wind up.
