I would say compassion and caring to all. Loving and forgiving. Does the Christian God portray these qualities?

I'd expect it to have the quality of VISIBILITY.

I'd expect it to let there be no doubt in even the most skeptical mind that it existed.

I'd expect it to straight-up tell me "this is what I want from you, Bill."

I'd expect it to step in when someone is getting victimized beyond human endurance.

Being one of several gods that says "believe in me or you're toast" and then roasting those who make the wrong choice sounds a tad sadistic.

OK well first of all if there was a God? There is a God. And yes your right i'm sure he is loving and caring and forgiving. I have never met him. So I don't know how he really is. But I believe in him. And I believe that he is what he is.

The exact opposite of the Old Testament Christian God, who (if he were not imaginary) is nothing but a brutally judgmental humanity-hating SOB. The world would be a better place if he was never invented or if people would quit believing that he is real.

God possess all of these qualities, remember......God is a just God, He is the living God, His ways are not our ways, His time is not our time.

No he/she does not, it allows killings, and war. And Christians do not say that we have control of our own decisions...If he was a loving god, then he would not allow such misery in this world now would he? If you could prevent a tragedy, would you?

Love, compassion and the strength to allow his children to make their own mistakes and not intervene so they can learn from them. Those who do not learn from their mistakes, well- they have then proved their belief

Yes indeed he is. God is all compassionate, all caring, all loving, and all forgiving. When the devil brings bad things in our lives, it is God who gives us strength to get through it.

The ability to prove his existence.

I swear, if he showed up at my front door and says "he dude, I'm god and here's proof [instantly brings my grandma back to life] so believe in me" I'd become a true believer. But it aint gonna happen.
