I am British, but I have visited America, met a lot of Americans abroad, and had American friends on my home turf. I have found them to be very nice, polite and well-mannered, both the ladies and gentlemen, and by-and-large very well educated.
Now I know this is of course not representative of the whole US population (an observation that works both ways, of course), but do we really have to lay in to each other so much? Our nations are allies, have been since the Independence.
Isn't it sad when we're at war together in the Middle East (justified or not), with very few other friends, and yet we have to bicker between ourselves? It verges on pathetic.
The total lack of respect for our nation's war veterans (particularly as far as WW2 is concerned) on this site is sickening; the Americans saved us, no they didn't, yes they did etc etc.
Can't we just accept that tens of millions of our guys, girls and children died so we could slander them 60 years on?
Let's get along?
