God gave us free will. We are free to believe and behave the way we want. The consequences however are only Gods. Lord and the word helpless don't go together unless you add the words " Lord I am helpless without you"

Only if the good people at Webster's change the meaning of the word atheist to include a belief in God.

God does not enforce His will. He gave us the gift of free will choice. To paraphrase Yoda: "Choose or don't choose." God specifically states in the Book of Revelation that He does not accept those who are lukewarm to His Word. You are either in or out.

If you are forced to do something, you may do it, but as soon as you can stop, you will. Human nature. That is the basic reason God does not force His will on us. He only wants those who want Him.

Be blessed.

yes that free will thing... although he does force believers to force non believers into believing or dying in some cases. and he could just miracle something up and everyone would fall line. or god doesn't care and organized religion has twisted his words...
or god doesn't exist and then atheist will always exist.

He could, but He gave us free will so that we would make our own choices. Otherwise, if He forced us to love Him, that would make us more like robots, and not humans that He created after His own Being.

Then why if he/she/it is so powerful has he/she/it been hiding for centuries. It doesn't seem to be doing much about proving its existence.
