I never said I was perfect, just because their spelling is better, perhaps they think they are all that, or it makes them feel better to pick on someone. I think that is very rude.... especially because you misspelled a word, you can't always go back to fix it....... and almost down the line, as if they all don't think you can read, others remind you of it.
You know who the intelligent ones are, they are understanding and over look it, because they know what you meant.

Also, if you are in a Polygamous marriage, please tell what you feel the pro's and con's are. This question is not for those in this type of relationship for sexual things - I am curious to know what people's thoughts are on a Marriage between one man and 2-3 wives or more.

We only have 13 people. Jesus only had 12, Noah only had a few...but they had the "REAL" truth.

Seriously, have you ever met anyone who spoke just like
I just did? I did last week and I still can't believe the arrogance, I wonder how many little frige groups like that are out there?

Those who believe in the bible say that there is nothing for us to learn about the universe. That they, the authors, knew more about the world than we do today. If that is the case, how do you explain technology or science or computers. If we stopped learning and understanding the world back then, we would already have been extinct.

Isn't it better to understand the world for yourself? Or to just blindly follow an ancient book? I fear for our future because I know most of you who answer this would say that all the knowledge is indeed completed.

Hey Christian internet folks!

So I was wondering, because I see both sides of this argument here on Y!Answers all the time and it gets pretty nasty. I dont think thats cool, on either side. Well anyway, I was hoping one of you could provide me with, or a link to, a timeline of the biblical theory/ fact of the creation of the earth and the creatures on it.

Growing up going to public school, there was always an evolutionary timeline on the wall... showing how over billions of years animals slowly evolved into new species. So I was wondering if there is a timeline of biblical events that could show big events starting with the Creation, and going through the ages with the flood, the rise and fall of civilizations, the existance of Dinosaurs, etc etc etc. Preferably a timeline from those of you who believe in the fundamentalist creation story.
(6 days+god=everything)

Please no "creation is fake" responses. I've allready heard that argument. Thanks everyone!

What about Charles Lyell, and his theory of uninformationism (earth and its inhabitants have been developed by slow moving forces for millions of years), and the Jean Baptiste Lamarck's, why don't the Christians attack them in addition to Darwin. Is it because they're mad at Darwin for formally renouncing God, or is it because he just is the biggest target, or something completely different? Please explain!

I love Myself, I love the world and the people in it, I love christians and hate christianity. I am an atheist, yet I love Jesus. I don't need his heavenly helpfulness to get me through the day, yet i find his ideals comforting. We don't belong to Jesus, Jesus belongs to us. Humanity conceived him and god, not vice versa. I believe in humanity and when it boils down to it, all religion is is belief in humanity. Life is to beatiful to waste with your head in a bible. Don't ask questions to drive yourself crazy, and dont seek the answers in religion. Appreciate Life, whether it was given to us, or simply is just there. MAybe you got something out of my babble, I know that many christian are now going to critisize me and I'm ok with that. Any Comments?

Do you think that there is just one person for everyone? Or are we just setting ourselves up for disappointment?

Religion allows you to just believe in what you are told and what is written in a book. It's forever stuck in the past.

Science allows you to know the truths that it reveals, and is always and forever evolving.

Knowledge is preferable to ignorance.

It is written in the Qua'ran.

Another shady thing about Islam to me besides the whole attire of women and granted "virgins" for men in heaven is one of the five pillars of islam: Hajj!

Why? Why is it required to make a visit to a piece of land where "Mohammad" is burried. He is not God and yet it's like worshiping HIM when muslims are required to pay a visit.

If it's a holy place why is it not free? Millions die doing this every year. I am not inexperienced on this subject. I have family members who are muslim, I've lived in a muslim country for 9 years. I have read the Qua'ran. I know it is required for people who can AFFORD to go there but it is a PILLAR which means it is a must.

I see it as a way to make money. Politics. Mohammad was a businessman back before he became a "prophet".

Why do i always get comments like "read the Bible because you are obviously ignorant" when i ask about religion, or content of the Bible? Im trying my hardest NOT to be ignorant and if you all just opened your minds a wee bit and helped me understand, i wouldnt have to ask so many questions... im confused about it, and if those who are or have studied the Bible can not answer my questions, where does that leave people like me? Why wont religious people help me understand?
