Also, if you are in a Polygamous marriage, please tell what you feel the pro's and con's are. This question is not for those in this type of relationship for sexual things - I am curious to know what people's thoughts are on a Marriage between one man and 2-3 wives or more.

There are actually several religions that have practiced Polygamy as a form of spreading their religion throughout history, and even today! I know that as a Christian, I think it's wrong. As an American, I think you have the right to practice whatever religion you choose as long as you are not hurting others through that practice. I can see if all the adults involved want to be there, no rights are violated. But what about when they have children? How do we know they would want to be living a polygamist lifestyle? Again, as a Christian, I'm not for it. But am curious as to what others views are, I find it an endlessly interesting/mysterious thing.

Beyond being directly against Scripture, having more than one wife is foolish. To truly be your wife, a husband must be the best husband he can be. Dividing his love would be a denial of what his wife really is. Now if you think for a second that you could ever find more than one wife that you could marry without stringing them along or taking advantage of them, then go for it. You would quicky find that it was a delusion. A woman is quite the hand full, and it takes all that you are to make it work. Thinking that you can do this more than once is absurd.

I find it difficult to comprehend the politics/dynamics of a polygamous marriage, given that I have always had a full time job keeping one girlfriend/wife happy without the added pressure of numerous girlfriends/wives. Seems like fun to try for a weekend though...

I personally would not want to be around that much estrogen induced insanity.... Sorry ladies...
The Japanese symbol for war is two women under one roof.
One pro for it would be lots of different children... You know having multiple wives could mean having a bunch of great kids with different traits...
However, Do you go by age for which woman is the alpha wife? I know they are not going to be "non possessive" or "jealous."
ONE woman at a time is enough...

Well, my husband and I are in a polyamorous relationship. We are married, but I am allowed to have boyfriends and he is allowed to have girlfriends. The rules are as follows:
-don't lie about it, EVER.
-don't catch any diseases (use rubbers)
-don't get (someone) pregnant
-make sure the other person knows about the marriage
-eventually we will introduce our boy/girl friends to each other
This has been working for a few years now but there was one incident where he had a gf that had it in her head that she was more important to him that I was. She was really trying to steal him away and he was oblivious to it. But he eventually broke it off with her out of boredom anyway. Sometimes we have threesomes and even foursomes, but the above rules still apply. It's exciting and fun and I'm glad to be with a man that is as freaky as I am.
Blessed Be.

I think any man who wants multiple wives needs a shrink.
Does he think that they will go out and work for him, and then come home and make him happy?
Does he think that they will be able to get along with each other?
I don't see a way to win at this game, even if it were in God's will.

See, I'm ok with him having girl friends. But there is a point at which it crosses the line. If he wants to ever involve another woman in our relationship, the man had better run and hide. Sorry, I'm his one and only and I'm going to stay that way or its over.

I don't see how it works. I don't see it as love. I know that I could never be able to live knowing that my husband (well, future husband, I'm not married yet) has another wife. I like the way it's said in Song of Songs.
"I am my lover's, and my lover is mine."
Song os Songs 6:3a (NIV)
God bless.

I am a Christian and I am against it. The Bible teaches God's plan for one man to be married to one woman.
